  • A SPECIAL THANKS....

    A very special thanks goes out to my subscribers;

    I really appreciate your sharing this journey with us.  It is so much easier to share this on xanga than in real life.  My family tries to be supportive, but they just don't seem to understand.

    SO thanks for sharing my happiness and all the other emotions I will go through before we are finally able to conceive.

  • Well I am off to take a bath and get ready for bed. Tomorrow is the big day!! PLEASE say my eggies are big! I really don't want to move onto injectable fertility drugs. We are both pretty excited to see what the clomid has done for me. More updates tomorrow!!

  • TEMP TAKING!
    One of the most bothersome part of trying to conceive is forever taking your temperature every single morning. That darn thermometer becomes a big part of your life. What you have to pee???? No, you can't get up until we have taken your temperature.
    Luckily for me, my hubby is a huge assistance in this department. If it wasn't for him I would not take my temp at all! He faithfully sets the alarm every morning for 6:30 and takes my temp. This morning when I offically got up, I asked him if he took my temp. I never know as I sleep through it. He hands it to me every morning and then I put it in my mouth and hand it to him when it beeps. It is a digital basal thermometer. I am always able to fall back asleep with the thing in my mouth. The beeping wakes me enough to usually hand it to him.
    This morning I really don't remember, but he says when the thing beeped I whipped at his head. LOL!!! He turned it off and but it away. Yes, he has succeeded again in taking the morning temperature of the wife who HATES MORNINGS AND BEING WAKENED.

  • Well time for me to scoot....check back on Monday to see how my eggies grew!!!!

  • FIRST TRIAL WITH CLOMID

    We have begun our first fertility treatment. This month I took Clomid 100mg for 7 days. This I believe is suppose to help with follicle development. On Monday, February 5th, we are going to the clinic to have an internal ultrasound done and see how my follicle growth is. If there are some follicles that look good, they will give me a shot of HCG to release them and then we will get to baby dance at home! And hopefully that dance will result in a pregnangy.

  • Hello everyone. I decided to start this log for two reasons:
    1) Just to vent, my hubby and I are in the midst of infertility treatment and I want to talk about it.

    2) To have a log of what we are going through so that others may provide us support, but don't need to always be asking me about how it is going. Sometimes I am just not up to talking about it.

    My hubby and I each have a child from a previous relationship, but have not been able to conceive a child together yet. So I promise this will be a journey which will definitely have it's ups and downs. I am sure praying for more ups than downs.

    OSTARA - this is the name of the Norse goddess of fertility, maybe that will help!!!

    So thanks for joining our journey to have a baby.
