  • OK, Ok....it is Sunday afternoon.  We are home from errands, chruch and lunch out.   So what does that mean.................you guessed it  a SUNDAY afternoon nap!!  I love those!!    Tommy already has started his!

So of course my sink is NOT shining, and I have laundry to do and **GASP a bag to still unpack from vacation, but I am going to nap anyways!!  LATER!!

  • Yawn......YAwn.............YAWN!!  I am so tired this morning.  I let Erik has a sleep over  and the little boy that slept over, came up at 12:00am and wanted to go home.  So I went downstairs and let them leave the TV on, etc...and settled them bakc in for the night. so so I thought.  At at about 2:00, the little boy came into my room and said I woke up again and I want to go home.  Ok....so now I have to call his mom, wake her up and wake hubby up to take the boy home.   YEAH!!  We are all exhausted.  NO MORE SLEEP OVERS!!!  Well at least not for Erik until his b-day, next month.

Anne789 - to answer your question, I work as a social worker.  I work with children with developmental disabilities and their families.  I currently work with over 50 families.  Last night I did decide to work late and got a lot done, but of course not entirely caught up from vacation.  I got home around 8:30 last night.  I think I might be putting in a 12 hour day today as well, since I really have a pile of stuff to do on my desk.  ARGH!!!   Trust me in my job it doesn't feel like you are ever caught up, but much closer than this!  Saturday, I am going to sleep the day away or at least try!

The night before last my oldest son had a sleep over and they left my freezer open all night.  I have 20 pounds of ham in there that got defrosted.  So I will be cooking up a storm of meals to freeze this weekend.  ARGH!!

I am off to read a couple of blogs and head to work...........YAWN!!  I need to have some serious diet Mt. Dew!!!!!  Sorry not a coffee drinker (don't tell Mscaddeineaddict, but I can't stand the stuff!...*gasp)

  • Frejaluna - this is just for you...........they are very good!

Yeah, yeah,.....I am going to bed now. Don't tell the flylady...I am up way past my bedtime. I was doing a bit of car shopping around on-line. I need to buy a new vehicle around the beginning of the year, so I am comparing prices, models, etc.

I really am going to bed now.................NIGHT!! No reading time for me tonight

  • I survived my first day back to work after vacation.  Those days are always a killer!!!

I started my morning off with a head ache.  I needed to be at the Dr by 9:00 to have my annual physical.   I made it there and had to wait a lot, but got a bit of my book read.  I am actually enjoying it so far.   I am reading the Nanny Diaries.   Physical went fine then I had to wait to have the lab draw to check my cholesteral.   The lab was backed up so that again took a while.  Then it was off to the post office to mail a book I sold on Half.com and some birthday cards and bills.  After that I dropped Joshua's registrations stuff for Confirmation at the church.   Then it was finally time to head to work!!!!!!

Work my desk was covered with 10 days of mail.  The light on my phone was blinking like crazy with messages and I had a ton of emails.  Only a few crisises, which I haven't even dealt with them all yet.  So tomorrow I have unit meeting in the morning and a meeting with a family in the afternoon that should that the entire afternoon.  ARGH... and I still haven't found relief for one of my families in crisis.  I need to be able to work late a night or two to catch up.  I might be able to work late tomorrow night.  So work is a bit overwhleming, but it always is whenever I take a single day off, just multiply that by 10!!  Oh well, I will make my way through it!

After work I went to the chiropractor to have my back adjusted.  I feel a little better, but a bit sore.  I always feel a inch taller after I leave the chriopractor office.   LOL!!!

This evening was pretty relaxed, I layed on the couch with the heating pad for a bit after supper.  I really didn't accomplish much, oh well, I will fly another day.   I did get my menu done for the week, and started some laundry this morning.  I did take a walk with Tommy tonight.  I haven't been exercising much at all these last few months so I am easing back into that as well.

I am off to update my checkbook and move some money online and then off to bed early to read and get some sleep.  I am not back on my work sleep schedule yet.

Paul took Tommy to the Dr this afternoon to have his ears rechecked.  Tommy got an ear infection while we were on vacation and we had to take him to a Dr out of state.   His ears look clear and fine today.  He is crabby, but Dr said it is teeth.  Argh...always something.   He sure is getting good about walking between the furniture.  I have a feeling we will be walking alone soon!

    NIGHT!!!

  • Hello -

Today is a busy day.  I am still working on unpacking and getting all our stuff put away.  I am cooking supper since we are all so tired of eating out, except Erik of course.  It is good to be home.  I have to return to work tomorrow, that isn't as fun though.  ARGH!!  I am sure I have a ton of fun stuff waiting for me.

Today I took Joshua to pick up his schedule from high school and look where his classrooms are.  I can't believe my baby is starting high school.  Then we went and did the last of school shopping. I had to buy him new shoes.  He is now wearing a size 10-1/2 mens size shoe.  That boys sure has some BIG feet!  I can't imagine what size we will be wearing by the time he graduates.

I stopped at the library and picked up a book I had on reserve, The Nanny Diaries.  I look forward to reading that.  I hope to start that tonight.

I spent a lot of today going through all our mail.  ARGH....had stuff to register for Families First and COnfirmation at church.  I had a ton of dates to put on the calendar and junk.   It certainly is getting close to school time, our calendar is filling up fast.

Well Tommy is waking from his nap, so I should scoot.  Chat at ya later.  Yes, Yes, I will tell you all about our vacation and share pictures, Of Course!!!

  • Hello........tonight I got home at a decent hour from work, actually just in time for Paul to leave for school.  Tonight was my hubbys last class.....he is officially done with his class work.  He has to do a 80 hour internship and then he graduates!!!  I can't wait for him to join the work force.  I am very proud of him...to be getting his college degree at age 37.

He only had a final tonight, then came home.  He was home very early so he could tend to Tommy and I could pack.  I have all of Tommy and Erik's stuff packed.  I might need to stop off and buy Erik a couple more pairs of shorts, since he is so hard on his clothes.   Tomorrow I will pack my stuff and help Josh a bit and well as hubby.  Then we will load everything into the van, and will leave Saturday morning for our family vacation.
