Month: November 2002

  • I forgot to mention, Joshua had decided he wants to go on the mission trip with his church group this year.  I am a bit nervous about it, but it will be a great expereince for him.  He will be spending a little over a week in St. Petersburg, Florida doing youth work with a group.   He will also get to go to Universal Studios and the ocean.  But most of his time will be in St. Petersburg doing mission work.

So I will have to do more auctions on Ebay and earn a bit extra to pay for his trip.  He is very excited.  We have an informational meeting in December than our first payment is due in January.

My baby is growing up, last year camp for the first time, this year Florida.

  • Morning........a bit sluggish this morning.  I didn't even read last night, just went straight  to sleep.  Argh...Tonight I will try to get to bed earlier (I say that every night).

In December I decided to take the week of Christmas and return to work on January 2nd.  I can't wait I have never taken so much time off at the holidays.   I just want to spend time with my boys.

I am off to wake Tommy up....Have a great Sunday!

  • I just layed Tommy down for bed, so I thought I would quickly say hello!!   HELLO!!!   Well today was very busy.  I was actually gone all day.   I left to finish my Christmas shopping at around 10:30 and came home around 3:00 to drop my sleeping baby off at home with Daddy.  Then I went out to finish shopping.  It took much longer than I planned since my SIL went with me.  Oh well, it was nice to have a female to chat with.

I will have to spend tomorrow's nap time wrapping present and putting laundry away.  I am definitely pretty close to being done shopping.  This weekend is a little quieter than usual, Erik is with us for weekend visitation, but Joshua went to his Dad's this weekend.

Tommy of course is with us always.  He is sleeping better now that I give him a bowl of cereal before bed.   He must be going through a growing spurt, since he is eating so much.

Chat at ya later!  I am off to bed to read before I can't keep my eyes open anymore.   I hope to stay around home tomorrow and get alot done after church.   Later!

  • You ever have those days when you have a ton to say, but your jsut too tired to.  ARGH!!  Sorry, I am in a bit of a funk, so busy and everything.  Tommy is going through separation anxiety and isn't sleeping through the night the last two nights. ARGH!!   I am not used to that.  With that in mind, I think I will head to bed and try to get some sleep before the wailing starts.  Actually last night, he got up and had an enitre bottle (note not sippy cup) *smirk.   So tonight I fed him a bowl of cereal before his bedtime bottle.

I am off to read for a bit.  Have a great night........YEAH!!  Tomorrow is FRIDAY!!!!!!  I am soooo ready for the weekend.

Accomplished tonight, not much, but did actually update and printed my xmas labels.  Later all!

  •  I wrote xanga ate it...........I am going to bed to read! Later!

  • I stayed up too late last night, plus Tommy woke up in the middle of the night crying.  It can't be an ear ache since he on antibiotics.  Actually we are going through exactly what Mscaffeineaddict said, separation anxiety!   It is worse again, I can't even go to the bathroom without Tommy just screaming and screaming.  It is getting eaiser to jsut take him everywhere with me, but then I might be creating a bigger problem by doing that.  ARGH!!

Last night I finished reading the book Tuck Everlasting.  Nice to actually be able to read a book in two days.  It was an easy juvenile read for my book group.  I think Josh will read the book, then we might go see the movie together.    The next book my group is reading is I Don't Know How She Does It by Allison Pearson.  I was just notified by the library that my reserved copy of this book is in so I will pick it up before Thanksgiving.  I am glad i didn't have to buy that one as well.

Today is pretty quiet day, I have a school observation this morning.  The rest of hte day will be spent doing paperwork at the office.  I have such a pile to get through plus CDS Plans to complete.  6 more plans to do for the year, then I am DONE!!  YEAH!!!

BTW, Mscaffeineaddict I will post the egg roll recipe sometime soon.   You might need a asian market/grocery around you to find the items.  They are pretty easy to do.

I am off to shower and head to work.  Have a great Wednesday!!  Tonight is Church night for us.......catch ya later!

  • TO DO TUESDAY:

    • Package Ebay Auctions
    • Update Checkbook

  • hello - Yes, I am still kicking and around.  Just very busy!  What is new!  I will give you a quick update as to what we have been up to.

Thursday night my brother called and said he would be coming to spend the weekend with us.

FRIDAY - I worked 1/2 a day and my brother came to visit.  Hubby cooked supper we had Simek Lasagna and bread.  Tommy was crying at every little thing at ECFE (Early Childhood Family Education) in the morning when ever another child touched him.  Very unusual.  At daycare he was very clingy to his aunt and cried and whined.  Hmm...teeth, ear ache??  Who knows!   He was ok when we got home for the evening.  We watched the movie Monsters Inc.  Tommy went down at bedtime fine and then woke up crying at 5:30 am.  Ok...something is wrong!

SATURDAY - We all went out and ran errands.  We went to Sam's Club and the Grocery store.  Then we took Tommy to Urgent care to have his ears checked.  And yes of course he had an ear infection in one ear.  So we got antibiotics for him.  My brother hung out with my oldest son and surfed on the computer and stuff.  They made a music CD as well.   In the afternoon I ran the last of my errands, made a return at Toys R Us and went to mall to get Josh's haircut.   I found the pants I wear for work on sale and a new pair of black work shoes.  Good deal!

We pretty much hung around home on Saturday the rest of the time.  For Supper I tried a new recipe,  Roast in foil.  I will share the recipe later.  I also made Apple Crisp.  Both turned out very good.  After Tommy went to bed for the evening we played a game of Trivial Pursuit the 20th Anniversary Edition.  That was fun!

SUNDAY - The boys and I went to church.  Hubby had a bad tummy and stayed home.  Tommy cried in nursery for some reason, don't think he is feeling too well yet.  After we had some lunch and then since we weren't going anywhere I decided to make Egg Rolls, so we headed down to the Asian Market to get the needed items.  My brother had never been to an Asian market.  I made some EggRolls, (have great recipe will share!).  YUMMY!!!!!!   The rest of the afternoon was just spent relaxing.  IN the evening we went over to my SIL's for her two daughter's birthday parties.  We stayed there until 9:00 and then came home watch law and Order and called it a night.

MONDAY - My brother head back home in the morning.  I went off to work, hubby to search for a job and Tommy to daycare.  My auctions on E-bay ended and three people have paid for their items so I am mailing those off today.   I made an extra 75.00, that is always nice.  I will ship the rest when I get payment.  I bought the book Tuck Everlasting by Natalie Babitt for my book group.  I started it last night and am actually really enjoying it.  It is a very easy read since it is a juvenile book.   I also finished listening to my book on tape, The Poisonwood Bible by Barbara Kingsolver.  This was a very good book!

So now your all updated on the happenings.  Nothing too exciting.  Tommy is now feeling a bit better, which is great.  He was very crabby last night and I couldn't do any of my cleaning until he was in bed.  He wanted me to sit and play in the living room.  I did too, he is only a baby once, I better enjoy it!

I hope everyone is well and have a great week!

  • Hello -

Sorry I haven't been around too much.  I have been busy trying to get caught up at home and work from being sick.  I have also been trying to get to bed a bit earlier as well.   So have some time to read or cross stitch.  I finally finished my book.  It seems like it has been ages since I finished reading a book.  It was very enjoyable.  So I finished reading "Ralph's Party" by Lisa Jewell last night and tonight I am going to start "I know this much is True" by Wally Lamb.   This book has been sitting on my bookcase forever and a friend at work said it was good, so I am going to give it a try.

It is a weird day at work.  A employee in another unit on our floor committed suicide after her baby (7 Months) died on Monday.  Though I didn't know her, it really is effecting me.  I keep finding myself thinking about it.  How would I be able to live if one of my children died??   I really feel for her family and husband.

I am happy to report my Ebay auctions are going pretty good, they will more than cover the items I won for Tommy Last night.   I won a number of Little People Animals.  I think he will really enjoy them.  I hope to get a number of auctions posted this weekend.  I also am going to try to take a picture of my entryway now that it is painted.   It is always too dark when I get home during the week to do that.    More later!!!

Well I best get busy with my work here.  I am almost done eating my lunch.

  • Pretty normal day around here.  Just the same old, same old.   I have been a bit tired, and not able to fall asleep very early.  Last night I read until 11:30.  ARGH!!

It was a quiet evening last night.  I didn't feel like doing much.  I did clean out Erik's fish tank, since his fish had died over the weekend.  YUCK!!   That is all put away until the next fish we get.

Nick and Kristen were over for most of the night.  My SIL and BIL are going to a conference on Asperger's Syndrome every Tuesday, so we are waking the kids.   They were fine.  Kristen still doesn't talk much and just points nad grunts and I never know what she wants.   She is having a speech evaluation completed again after her 3rd birthday.  Nick was fine, his new topic of interest is Power Rangers.  So we heard a lot about them.

Tommy enjoyed playing with his cousins, though Kristen screams when he touches a toy she is playing with.  We had a few sharing issues.  Then it was bath and bedtime for Tommy.

My auctions on Ebay are going pretty good thing time around.  I have bids on 4 of 6 items.   I plan on posting a few more this weekend in order to have some cash for Christmas.  Plenty of things to get rid of.  Isn't that always the case.

I am off to work, today is going to be my paperwork day and I have a lot to accomplish.  Later!!!!!!!
