Month: December 2002

  • argh...I wanted to sleep in this morning.  I set the alarm for 8:00 and here I am awake already.  ARGH!! Plus I didn't even sleep well.  Grrrrrr...what a bad mood I am in.  Already deleted most of my blog, since I am in such a bad mood.  No one should have to read that!

    Later

  • I did nothing all evening after my nap, except played with Tommy and gave him supper.   I figure that laundry will still be there tomorrow morning, right??   I am postive it will be....it *always is!

I am off to bed to read for a bit.  Have a great weekend!!!!!!

  • hello -  Whew...what a day!  I am beat!  I just got up from a nap.  Josh and I clean my in-laws apartment.  I am so grateful that Josh came with me.  He did all the Rug Dr for me.  I just helped by filling the emptying the tanks for him.  He got the living area nice and clean for them.   he is such a good boy.  He worked very hard for about 4 hours and never complained.  He would find more to do for his Grandparents.  He is a very caring boy.

I cleaned the kitchen and bathroom.   I cleaned out the tub and scrubbed floors.  The nice thing about cleaning their apartment is that my MIL has no clutter.  She keeps everything put away and in it's place.  So all I had to so was scrub and scrub.   My MIL didn't have a dustpan so we had to make do with the piece of cardboard.  She hasn't had one since they lived there.  LOL!!  So obviously she hasn't swept much.   They have lived in the apartment for about 5 years.  We live in their old house.  The house got too large for them to maintain anymore and they sold it to my husband.

So we live in the family home and hold all the holidays here.   It is the largest of the homes of all the children as well.  So we have more room.   Grandma and Grandpa were very pleased when they returned to a clean home.  I need to make a point of going over there and scrubbing the floor ocassionally, or at least more often than once a year.

I must admit I don't think I will be doing much around my house the rest of today.  My arms are aching. My back hurts a bit from scrubbing the floor.  I did in on my hands and knees to get it good and clean.

I will try to do a bit of laundry, but that is about it.

Tomorrow we are going to Blaine to my BIL and SIL's trailer to celebrate Nick and KK's b-day!  It is very small so we fill up the place easily.

I best get done here,  and eat some supper.  Julie my SIL is coming over to play with Tommy, who also is still napping.

I want to welcome all my new subscribers!!  Great to have you join me.

BTW - JKJoker - I am so sorry I missed your comment.  Had I seen it before I returned the Rug Dr. I certainly would have made it over to do your carpets too. NOT!

frejaluna - I do feel good doing stuff for my In-laws.  They really can't do it for themselves anymore.  They live in a elderly housing complex in the town right next to us.

MomMom2EandJ - I do believe we all should do some random acts of kindness when we can.  I wasn't able to buy as many gifts this year nor did I want to clutter my In laws apartment with junk.  So it seemed like a good gift!

  • Morning!  I am up and ready to conquer the world.  NOT!!  Today will be very busy.  I am cleaning my in-laws apartment.   Josh and I will go over and steam clean their carpets, etc.  My back is achy this morning, but I bet it will be really achy by tonight.  My mother in law isn't really able to do any cleaning anymore, so this is desparately needed.

    TO DO TODAY:

    Take Tommy to Daycare
    Go Rent a Rug Doctor
    Clean at the Grandparents apartment

Do one more Load of Laundry - I have to keep up now!

that is plenty for today.  Chat at ya all later.  I can't go clean at grandparents until 11:00 when they get up.  I did convince them to get up early, since I wanted to get this done!  They didn't want us to come over until 1:00.  Argh...too late for me.  I need to get this all done while Tommy is at daycare!

I am off to shower and get my day going.........

  • I am tired....YAWN!!  but baby is still running around, so I don't think bed is in my near future.  He is very excited and full of energy at the moment.  He is wrestling with Daddy right now.

I did a fair amount today, but am taking the rest of  the evening off!  Tomorrow i am going to my in-laws to steam clean their carpets and scrub floors and wipe walls.  Should be a lot of work.  Hubby cn't come to help until after 3:00, so Joshua and I will go over there and start around 11:00.   So I need to rest up!

I was checking out Anna's site and she seems to be where I am at lately.  I need to clean my whole house and be ready for the new year!!  I did a few of her listed chores today in addition to my list.

Laundry - I HAVE FOUND THE FLOOR!!!  Even Swept it!!!
Wiped off the Washer and Dryer
    Shook out Laundry Room Rugs
    Dishes
    Start on Erik's Room
    - (put clothes away and cleaned out desk)
Second Shelf in the Office - 2/3's done
Put together remaining gifts for my family

I am off to play with my wild baby for a bit and heading to bed.  Have a great rest of your night!   Chat at ya tomorrow!

  • It is a bit after noon and I am doing pretty good.  The laundry is still going along and I jsut got done making homemade Kool aid Play Dough for Sammy and maybe Tommy to play with after nap time.

    Kool Aid Play Dough

    Mix Togther:

    2-1/2 Cups Flour
    1/2 Cup Salt
2 Pakgs, Kool Aid (any Flavor)

In a Separate bowl, mix 3 tbsp oil and 2 cups boiling water.  Combine the two mixtures, knead until smooth.

  • I'm back........Target wasn't even as busy as I thought it would be.  I was able to buy enough rolls of wrapping paper for next year at 50% off.  I also bought Tommy a pair of Jeans - $5.00 and a shirt - $3.00.  Let's see what else...hmmm...I bought a "Days till Christmas Sign" also 50% off.  That was a bout it.   I only spent 40.00.   I think that was worth getting up early.

My neighbors are going skiing so I will be babysitting my little neighbor girl, Sammy.   She is playing with her leap pad she got for Christmas right now.  So hopefully I can grab a shower before Tommy is up for the day!

Then it is laundry, laundry.....I best get my To DO List made........

    TO DO:

Laundry - still not caught up!
    Dishes
    Start on Erik's Room
    Second Shelf in the Office
Put together remaining gifts for my family.

More to be added as it comes to me.

  • YAWn.....I didn't wake up as soon as I thought i would.  I am off to Target to snag a few deals hopefully.  CHat at ya later!  It is 7:35.....the store has been open for about an 1/2 hour.

  • Good night all.  We have had a very relaxing day.  I was able to finish listening to my book on tape, "Prince Of Tides".  I also checked out the movie so I hope to watch that tomorrow.  I can't imagine how that book could be cut down to a movie that is only a bit over 2 hours.  Hmmmm...

We spent the evening playing a game Santa brought us.  It was great fun.  It is called Uno Attack!  It randomly shoots cards at you.  LOL!!

I am off to bed now as I want to get up early and go to Target to purchase some wrapping paper and stuff on the after Christmas sale.  I still have a week off from work.......WOO HOO!!!
