Month: March 2003

  • I slept through the night...YEAH, for me!!!  I really don't have much planned for today.  My book group is starting to discuss the book Middlesex and I am only on page 120 of 500.  ARgh...I need to read, read, read today.   It is suppose to be nice and warm again today, so I might end up just hanging around outside.

Time to get ready to head to church and then we are going out for brunch afterwards with my sister.  Her and her hubby aren't much of church goers, but my hubby didn't want to miss church so we will hook up with them afterwards.

    WEEKEND TO DO:

    • EBAY Pictures
    • Read my book
    • Make Chicken Nuggets with leftover chicken breast

  • Beautiful day here in Minnesota!  The temps were over 60 degrees today.  Other than running my errrands I didn't do a thing today!   We spent the time Tommy was awake outside enjoying the weather.   While Tommy was sleeping I read in my book...man is it a long book!

My sister and BIL came to visit tonight.  It was nice visiting with them.  They are off to their hotel room now and we will hook up with them after church tomorrow morning and go out for brunch.

Not sure how long they will be staying tomorrow.  Erik has been a terrible listener today, I hope tomorrow is better!  I am off to bed to read for a bit,  I sure hope I don't wake up at 4:00 am again tonight.

  • Two little tidbits I wanted to tell people about:

    1.  Ok...I have told you all how I am a "shampoo and Conditioner Snob".  I love to save money, but can't use cheap shampoo.  I only use Nexxus.  Ok...with that in mind I have to tell you about the screaming deal I got!!  Now if you aren't a snob you wouldn't think it was a deal.   I bought a gallon of each on ebay for a fraction of the cost.   Mind you still much more expensive than buying shampoo at Sam's club.  But I have enough shampoo and Conditioner for about 2 years and I paid 1/3 of the cost.  I am happy about that!   So if you are a haircare snob, check out the cost of your product on Ebay before paying salon costs ever gain!

    2.  Weird E-bay thing happened this morning.  Really has me mad!  I have made three Ebay purchases this month.  I bought the Nexxus Shampoo and Conditioner and a Elmo Jacket for Tom.  This morning I get a end of auction notice from like Ebay - cam from the right email address it looked like to me.  It was for an auction that actually ended on 2/25 or something.  Then I got a second email from a Paypals with a person requesting payment.  Hmmm...I already paid for this acution and have received it.  And to top it off, the person to pay was not who sold me the original item.   Hmm...someone has a scam going on!  So I reported it to Ebay, sent an email to the person and canceled the paypals transaction.  So be on the watch if you are a ebayer!

  • 4:00 a.m. and wide awake!  LOL!!  Well my day seems to be starting early today.  My plans are to go to Sam's and the library today and not much else.  I think my sister might be coming to visit tomorrow, but my parents are not coming with them.  I sort of figured that would be the case.

Well my oldest baby is sure growing up.   He really wants to take Driver's Ed in April.  ARGH!!   It is so expensive, I can't believe it.  It costs 350.00 to take the class, which you have to take to take your permit test.  OH MY!!!   Two of his friends are taking the class.  Normally this probably wouldn't be a big deal, but my hubby is unemployed and we have been trying to make it on one income for a while.   So I decided to sign Josh up and let him use the money in his savings account.  Also when our neighbors return from Florida, thwy pay Josh $100.00 for snow blowing their drive way all winter and keeping an eye on their house.  So he will put that money towards the cost as well as some spending money he has here at home.

The next step is I will have to see how much it will cost to have him added to our car insurance.  I am scared to find that out, but would have to add him.   I am so scared to have him driving.  My baby is growing up!  Things are jsut so expensive to raise a teen ager and I want him to have the opportunities.  it has been a very expensive couple of months with the Mission trip and driver's ed!  OH MY!!

I sure hope my hubby finds a job soon!  Since I am a government worker the state is looking at doing a 2 year salary freeze to help balance the budget, so not like I will be getting my usual raises.  But at least I will have a job and income coming in, some state agencies are laying people off.

Well on that cheery little note, I am off to pay bills.  It was payday yesterday, so time to get rid of that money!   Later!!!

Ok..what is up with this.  Tommy just woke up again crying, this is the second night in the row.  He wakes up between 4-5am and is crying.  I take him in bed with me and snuggle for a bit and when he starts getting wild I take him to his room.  I sing and dance with him for one song and put him in his crib and he is fine.   I wonder if he is having a bad dream or what.  He goes back to sleep fine, but of course I never can fall back asleep.

    WEEKEND TO DO:

    • EBAY Pictures
    • Tommy's Learning Poster
    • Sam's Club
    • Library
    • Bank - Monthly Charge on Account?

  • 7:00 p.m. and I am done working and heading home!! LET THE WEEKEND BEGIN!!!!!!!  YEAH!!!

  • Taking a break to snarf some supper here at work.  I am having a chicken breast stuffed thing...very good.   But I grabbed a can of veggies, Zucchini.   But they are in a tomato sauce...GROSS!!  But I am eating it or I will starve...LOL!!  But I am not enjoying it!

I still need to work for a few hours, then I will be good and caught up until Monday *smirk . Sometimes my job is this enormous pile of paperwork.  ARGH!!  But I guess I have to do it.

I decided I must be cold hearted or blooded or something.  In my office we have lights that detect heat and movement.  I was sitting here reading some reports and the lights turned off....I guess I don't have enough heat to keep them on.   LOL!!!  I moved a bit and they cam right back on.   So no sitting still tonight as I think I am the last one left on the floor.  The lights in other cubicle aisles have gone off already.   I sort of like to work late on Fridays as no one else does!  Other nights of the week you will find people still here.

Well I have snarfed my supper in record time, so I better get back to doing my time reporting.  I am almost 1/2 done!

I think my Sister and BIL might be coming this weekend.  Should be nice weather for a visit.  My parents might come with them.  Hmmm....might have to clean up my house....NAH!!!  Just have to clean off the dining room table andwill call it good enough.  I want to spend time tomorrow reading not cleaning!

    Later!!  Have a great weekend!!

  • It has been one of those mornings already!   AARGH....I fell asleep last night fine, but woke up at 3:30, wide awake!   Tommy woke up at 4:00am.   I put him in bed with me and when he started to goof around too much I got up and put him back in his room.  But now i am totally awake at about 4:15am.

So I get up and make my breakfast and climb in bed to read for a bit.  I fall asleep reading and sleep until my alarm goes off.   But I am more tired now that I went back to sleep.  ARGH!!!  Should make for an interesting day.  I think I might work late tonight to get all caught up at work.  I have a lot of time reporting to enter.

Got to run...maybe i will make my to do list over lunch!  Later!

  • Too tired to chat tonight or visit my SIR.   This fast forward life is getting to me!  I hope to hit the pause button tomorrow and relax most of the weekend.  We will see how that goes.  I am getting a bit snipping at my hubby today and I know it is because I am feeling pulled from too many directions at once.

I brought up a basket of laundry this morning before going to work and hubby said he would fold it.  Well I just folded that basket after doing the nightly dishes.  ARGH!!!  Ok...hubby is home all day and I am at work.  This gets to me sometimes!   So I went to work for 8 hours and I still had to fold the laundry too.  Ok...your right I *AM whining, therefore I should just go to bed!

NIGHT!!   TOMORROW IS FRIDAY!! YEAH!!! YEAH!!!

  • ELIZABETH SMART HAS BEEN FOUND ALIVE!!!  REJOICE and PRAY FOR THE FAMILY, As Elizabeth recovers from her ordeal!

Whew!!!  Someone has hit the fast forward button on life again for us!  Last night we were back at Families First!!  The kids had a circus theme and made some crafts at least Tommy had paint on himself.  The parents group discussed a book called I think it was Helping Kids to Cope with stress.  We had missed a week so missed when the book was introduced.  It was great being back with our group!

Afterwards we had the parent/child meeting for the mission trip.  I made the last payment on the trip, so Josh is off to Florida to serve in St. Petersburg.  I am not exactly sure what type of work he will be doing, as it is through an agency called "Youth WOrks" so it depends on what they are doing.   Last year the kids worked with the homeless in Denver.  I think it will be a great experience for Josh.  We arrived home after church activities around 9:30, WHEW!!  Enough time to package another book that sold and go to bed!

Today..the fast forward button is still pressed today!   Erik is coming a day early for visitation as he doesn't have school tomorrow.  So hubby has to pick up Tommy at 4:00 from daycare, Erik at 5:00 from school, get home and eat, and be at Musikgarten by 6:00.   Then hubby and Josh are going to a committee meeting at church at 7:00.  WHEW!!   I hope to get home early and make supper in there somewhere!  Josh and Hubby are joining a committe that makes all the brouchures and stuff for church...computer related.   They both are my computer guys.  so needless to say life is busy today too!!

To day is my errands day, so I will run to the grocery store and Target over my lunch hour today.  I have a few things to get at each place.  Well here's my to do list and off to work I go....................Later!!   As you can see I have a few reruns as I didn't everything done yesterday!

  • I woke up early this morning so I actually was able to have some computer time before needing to get ready for work.  I should also have enough time to actually get one load of laundry folded and put away before I need to go to work.  That is a good thing, I need to get back into that routine, otherwise I fall so far behind in the wash.

Today is a pretty normal day!  I only have one meeting at work, which is at my office so I should be able to do a lot of paperwork today.  I have to remember to take my 24-pak of pop with me to work.  I had to go without a pop all day yesterday

Tonight we have Families First again.  We haven't had class in a couple of week due to a school holiday and Ash Wednesday Service.  After Families First we have a parent Meeting for Josh's mission trip to Florida.   We have to make our finally payment and he is set to go.  He sold cinnamon rolls the other day, a fundraiser after services at church.  So since we will be at church from like 6:00 until around 9:00, I don't think we will accomplish much tonight so I think I will go easy on my To Do List again!!   I didn't even have one yesterday.  I just washed dishes and that was about it!
