Month: June 2003

  • OH MY!!! I had a Flylady moment today. My house is generally clean enough for anyone to stop by at anytime. So no problem with a repair man coming!!! OH NO...you want to look at the furnance???? YIKES!! Ok...I am a bit behind in the laundry. How embarassing, I have the laundry all sorted downstairs, with a big load of whites (underwear and socks) right in front of the furnance.

The repairman is great. He put a rush order on our repair since I am asthmatic and best yet no extra charge. The motor blew in the central air...OUCH is that ever spendy!

Time for me to scoot and get a few more things done around here. Later!

  • Happy days...the repair person is coming to look at the Central Air between 2-5:00 today. YEAH!! Happy am I. Please don't let it cost an arm and leg to repair. But I don't want to go without the air as the baby gets so hot. He doesn't seem to regulate his temp well, he is easily overheated.

  • This day is finally over, Tommy is sleeping peacefully. I am unsure if he will be well enough to go to daycare tomorrow or not. We will see in the morning.

Tonight I heard a weird noice outside and found that our Central Air fan has stopped working and was making a terrible noise. ARGH!! So we will need to get that fixed ASAP.

I finished moving the rest of my recipes to my new site, The Coyan Family Cookbook. I still have a few other recipes to add that are on my hard drive. I will to that soon. I also started revamping my personal webpage and moving it to a new site, more work to do on that!

I am off to bed, have a great night!

  • Hello - Tommy is just waking up from his nap. I have to share with you what I stumbled across on the net today. A FREE site to create a online recipe archive. I will be moving my recipes to this site. The site is called The Recipe Circus. My cookbook is called The Coyan Family Cookbook. Go take a gander.

Slowly by surely I will be recreating my family webiste.

  • This recipe made it...the family liked it so it has been typed and added to our collection. Thought I would share!
    Ham and Bean Stew

2 cans (16 oz. Each) baked beans
2 Medium potatoes, peeled and cubed
2 Cups cubed fully cooked ham
    1 celery rib, chopped
    1/2 Cup water

In a slow cooker, combine all ingredients; mix well. Cover and cook on low for 7 hours or until the potatoes are tender. Yield: 6 servings.

  • WOW...even got to update my Weekly Menu ...it has been ages!

  • Tommy is finally down for a nap, so I was able to finally update my Books Read in 2003 page...what better thing to do on an unexpected day off of work *smirk

Oh yeah...there is laundry to do...but really, which is more fun! I do need to scoot and get supper in the crockpot or we won't be eating until like 7:00 tonight! More later I am sure.......

  • Last night I decided to forget about doing any chores! I put Tommy to bed at 8:00 and went to bed myself. It was a good thing I did, I was up at 4:00am. Tommy had thrown up in his crib. So I clean him up and put him in bed with daddy. And you guess it...I got the crib changed and he threw up in my bed. ARGH...this one required a bath. So I bathed Tommy and sat on bed with im a gain. ANd yes, he threw up again. I guess I will be staying home today with him. We have our trusty bucket with us and he is keeping down some soda, anything else he gets sick.

So good thing I got a lot of sleep as I have alot of laundry to do today! Plus Tommy jsut wants to be held. My poor baby.

  • HAPPY MONDAY!!   have a great attitude maybe it will be a great day??   LOL!!  Got to work a bit late and have a ton of messages already.  Everyone thought of something they needed from their lovely social worker over the weekend.   My work To Do list is rapidly growing!  I am scared to answer my phone now!

Tommy had a bit of separation anxiety again when I left him at Bonnies.  I gave him an extra hug and he seemed fine.  He wouldn't let me leave him in the nursey on Sunday at church either.

I feel pretty put together for a Monday.  Supper is in the crockpot at home.  I started laundry this morning before leaving home.  Tonight we start summer home schooling and I am already for that as well.

I best do my to do list and get some lunch.  Yes, I am back doing the TO DO lists again....it is really helpful to me.  Boring to you, yes....but hey, it is my blog to help me *smirk
