Time for bed..Tommy seems to have settled down tonight without needing me to lay in his room. I hope this doesn't mean he will be waking at 3:00am. ARGH...I never know.
We had our last block party meeting tonight to make sure we have everything all squared away. Since this is the first year we are taking it over, we are sort of running by the seat of our pants. We have added a dunk tank and canopy this year, which increased cost, but we didn't increase the cost person. I am not sure how this will turn out. Right now we have 52 people who have RSVp and about $252.00. The day before the party my neighbor and I will head to Sam's club and buy all the things we need! That is when we will know what the real cost is. We will have a better idea for next year! I don't mind putting some of our own money towards the party so it is great!
Time for me to head to bed. Since we had people over all evening I haven't done anything at all. ARGH...Oh well, tomorrow is another day!
Off to read....Night all!

I have been terrible about returning comments lately. I seem only to have enough time for a few posts a week. GRRR...I can't wait until summer is over and our life is back to our normal routine.
COMMENTS:
Kimmiesmommie - Congrats on doing the Blogathon. I was really neat. I still need to print out some of your recipes. I hope you keep that site up for a bit.
MidwestBlahs - I will post the chicken fingers recipe for you as soon as I am at home and posting
Mrs_Ann_A - how are YOU???? A pressure cooker is this kettle thing that you use on the top of a stove that cooks food under pressure and much quicker. I can cook a roast in 20 minutes. Just a nother thing in my life to speed up my day! I love to cook great meals for the family but have a limited amount of time after work to do that.
Zvanoizu - Thanks for the google site for pressure cooker recipes. I will have to check it out!

I didn't get a ton of chores done last night. I am so tired these days and my asthma is acting up. It must be the weather.

SATURDAY.....
Hubby came home and was tired. We pretty much stayed around the house. Joshua came home from Florida around 4:00 and we had time to catch up with him. We watched the last movie Hubby had rented on Friday, How to lose a Guy in !0 days. It was pretty cute. I made a fabulous supper on Saturday night. I made meat loaf patties, mash potatoes and green beans. I had seem this meal made on my favorite show on the food network, 30-minute meals. It was really good!!!
SUNDAY....
Church of course....it was our itern pastor's last Sunday. The call committee is now looking for a teaching pastor. I so miss our previous pastor, Marlyn, no one could replace him. He married us and baptized our baby, so at least we have that!
After church it was a clean out the fridge lunch and quick nap for Tommy. After his nap we went to the beach for a bit. Tommy wasn't so sure of the sand as he hates to get dirty, but that soon changed. He was unsure of the water at first, but had a great time after a bit. Josh, Hubby, Tommy and I all hada great time at the beach.
Then it was another new recipe for supper. I have to share this recipe with you when I am at home. WOW!! We made deep fried Chicken fingers! They were wonderful! I made extra to freeze so I hope they are good when reheated.
The evening was spent doing the normal end of the weekend stuff, dishes, pick up, prepare for monday. Write a To do List for everyone for Monday, etc.
Tommy went to bed around 9:00 after hubby and I took him for a walk. It took a bit for him to fall alseep, but then again he woke up at 3:00am crying. He always seems to wake at 3:00am. I tried to rock him back to sleep numerous times. I finally gave him some bendryl. I hate giving him that. I called the Dr today to see how frequently is ok to give Tommy the Benadryl. He told me before to give it to him for three days to switch his sleeping pattern, but I have not been able to get him back to sleep through the night. He seems to be having nightmares. He finally fell asleep with us in our bed.
MONDAY......
I have homevisits all day so I am pretty busy, but at least I am out of the office. Well I better do my to do list and make some lunch before i have to head out to homevisits.
We got our check today from the government for the Tax Relief Bill. So that will pay for our car insurance which is due in August. In one hand, out the other, but at least I didn't have to take money from our savings.
TO DO - MONDAY
- Change Sheets
- Dust & Vacuum
- Sweep & Mop
- Mirrors & Doors
- Plant Plants!!!
- Errands - Buy Benadryl and Utter Cream
- Put Laundry Away

Man life got away from me again...I am so busy you would not believe it!
Thursday was my book discussion group at my house. It was fine...I made a great seven layer dip I will have to share with you. It was a big hit. I have a number of recipes to add!
Friday was just work....I did go out for lunch with friends at work to Don Pablo's it was ok. When i got hom Hubby had rented two movies so we watched one last night. It is nice just relaxing while the oldest two are gone. It is terrible but neither hubby nor I miss them....the silence is well needed.
Josh's flight comes in this afternoon so he will be home around 5:00 I think. Hubby will pick up Eirk on Sunday night.
Today I plan on relaxing a bit, I have a bit of clean up to do in the kitchen, and continue on laundry. I hope to get a nap in too! YEAH!!!
Tommy and I slept in this morning until 9:00am. YEAH! When we putzed around the house for a bit. We went to the bread thrift store, library and cub foods before noon. Tommy fell asleep on the way home, so he ended up taking a nap without lunch. I will feed him when he wakes up. Then I think we might go visit a local lake it hubby is up for it. He has to get up so early for work on Saturday's so he usually is so tired.
Well offf to clean up the kitchen. later! -
AAAAAh....A full nights sleep. YEAH!! Tommy is still sleeping actually, which might mean a shower in peace!
Last night went fine, I didn't quite get all my list done so I will be finishing it tonight. Plus I plan on reading a lot tonight. I have to get my book done for book group yet! I only read 1-1/2 chapters last night before I fell asleep.
I took the boys to VBS last night and came back home. Erik took two firends with. I told them when I left to drive their bikes straight home afterwards. It is about one block to our church. Erik of course didn't listen and went to hoilday instead, not a good choice. I have no idea where the money he had came from either, since I had cleaned out his wallet to pay for the window he broke in the house throwing an apple. Anyways, he lost the candy he bought at the store and won't be getting it back.
We were over at out neighbors for a bit last night. They have a bit of a problem. They have about 100 bats or more under their siding of their house. You tap on the siding and you hear all this screech, screech....YUCK!!! I am so afraid of bats! We had one in our house a few years back. My neighbor said the pest guy wanted $800.00 to take care of the bats. Remove them, you can't kill bats as they are protected. I would be writing a check out in a heart beat! My neighbor is planning on using spot lights and removing the siding this evening. I will be in the house when he does that! Paul was out there last night and he said once it got dark those bats were just pouring out of their house. I sure hope they don't find a way into our siding after they are booted out of the neighbors place. I would be freaked to remove the siding, hell bats have rabies, I wouldn't want to get bit. He is going to wear double clothes, etc to ensure they can't bite through his clothes. Then I think we will be building some bat houses. Man do I hate bats!!!!!They make my skin crawl.
Well I am off to shower and get ready for work. Later!
TO DO TUESDAY
* Dust & Vacuum
* Sweep & Mop
* Evening Routine
* Plant Plants...
* Read my Book

Bad, bad bad....sleep night. I am not sure if it was because we had such a busy weekend or what, but Tommy was off scedule terribly last night. He went to be around 8:00 as always. He actually was tired and went right to sleep. But at 3:30 he was up and crying. He stayed awake until about 6:30. My hubby was up with him, but I couldn't sleep anyways so I got up and got Tommy to go back to sleep. My hubby can be a bit useless with the kids at night, but he at least tries.
Erik woke up too and decided it was unfair that Tommy was up and he couldn't be. He woke up at about 5:00am and I made him go back to sleep. He came back up again begging to stay up. I sent him back to bed again. He felt it was unfair that Tommy was up watching Blues' Clues. Gee...not like it was what we wanted him to be doing. Good Night Erik!
So it is a late start morning for me at work. I am goign to leave soon to go to work. I had to get a few hours of sleep.
Busy night tonight..........VBS again tonight, so Erik will be there for the night.

yep, you guessed it. life got away from me again. Man...too many things to do to have time to type tp you all. So here is a quick low down of what happened the last few days and what is coming up at our house.
GOOD NEWS:
Car is FINALLY fixed. I did have a half and hour walk home one night after work, that was Wednesday. I was not a happy person to say the least. But it was my hubby's birthday so I tried to get over it quickly. I made seafood alfredo for his supper, which he loved. The kids liked it a lot too. But then again I have my kid hooked on seafood. They love lobster and crab!
The drain for the washer is finally fixed so I am able to do laundry again. YEAH!! I need to catch up again since I was with out a washer for a few days.
We have all the flyers for the block party handed out. We haven't gottne too many RSVP's yet. Hopefully soon!
Hubby got a great job offer from the place he is currently working, scine they didn't want him to leave. It isn't great in regards to pay, but is in regards to the work he would be doing and the hours. That is what is most important. I caould care less how much he makes as long as he is happy.
I jsut had my job preformance review. I got the highest rating possible, which means the highest raise allowed under our union contract, YEAH!!! I work very hard, so usually do well on my merit reviews.
Saturday was a busy, busy day!! The boys and I were up early and went to church for Mommy & Me morning, which I help organize and run. it was our first event, and it went pretty well. My favorite pastor's wife had returned for a visit. Marlyn was a fantastic pastor, he married us and baptized Tommy which meant the world to us. They have moved to Kenticky, but his wife and children were home for a visit so I was able to spend some time with this on Saturday morning.
Then we were invited to a BBQ to spend more time with the pastor's wife, but I had to decline since it was Tommy's nap time. We don't mess around with that much or he gets so cranky.
Saturday afternoon was a friend of my hubby's wedding. We went to the wedding with another couple, Paul and Linda and had a great time. Linda is Paul's best friend from childhood. She is great. We went to the dance with them as well. It was an ok time, but they wanted to leave fairly early. I finally convinced hubby to leave. Since we still had a sitter for a few hours, we went down to the lake and walk around for a bit. It was really nice.
We overslept for church and decided we all needed to rest a bit. We were going to the potluck and VBS Sunday evening . We have spent most of the weekend at the church. The wedding on Saturday was also at our church. So I was in the church on Saturday from about 8:00am to 12:30 and back at the church by 3:30.
Erik enjoyed VBS this evening. He has VBS all week from 6:30 to 8:30. Gives him something to do.
OUr week is fairly busy with VBS every night. I also am hosting my book discussion group at my house on Thursday evening. That should be interesting since most of the members are in their 50's with no small children. Welcome to my world of small children everywhere!
Time for me to head to bed and work on getting my book done for book group. I am almost 1/2 done. I have to get busy! But I have so many other things to do as well. LATER!
