It has been a while since I have shared pictures of the kiddos!  So here are a few!

May-2003.  This little motorized truck we bought at a garage sale fof like 50.00 and it has been going for years.   Yes, Erik is a bit big for it, but won't give it up!

Josh with his cake on his 15th Birthday.

Tommy 19 months - just being cute as always!

  • I updated many of my recipes and added many more tonight. I hopefully will have all my recipes in one place soon!!! Check out my main page of my cookbook to see what sections have been updated

    OUR FAMILY COOKBOOK

  • Marinated Cucumbers, Tomatoes, Green Pepper, and Onion

    2 large roma tomatoes
    1 cucumber
    ½ red onion
    1 green pepper
    1/3 c vinegar
    2 tbsp sugar
    ½ tsp celery seed

Thinly slice tomatoes, cucumber, green pepper and onion. Place in bowl. Mix together vinegar, sugar, and celery seed. Pour over vegetable mixture and stir to coat. Cover bowl and place in refrigerator to chill. Stir occasionally.

  • My new washer is here and all set up. YEAH!!! I am on my second load of laundry. I have about 4 more to be caught up again. I really like the Super King Size washer....you can do a huge load, now I wonder if my dryer will be able to dry that big of a load. That is my next investment. A new dryer, maybe in about 6 months I can save up the money to buy one. No more credit card usage in my home.

Tonight for supper I am making Cornish Game hens in the Pressure Cooker. They only take 8 minutes to cook.

  • Hope to add some favorite tried recipes from the last few weeks. Here is one of hubby's favorites!

    PULGOGI (AKA KOREAN BARBECUE)

    6 tablespoons soy sauce
    3 tablespoons sugar
    2 tablespoons sesame oil
    1 green onion, chopped
    1 clove garlic, minced
    2 Tablespoons toasted sesame seeds
    1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
    1 pinch ground black pepper
1 lb meat of choice, cut in strips

    Directions:
In a medium bowl, combine soy sauce, sugar, sesame oil, green onion, garlic, toasted sesame seeds, flour, and pepper. Marinate in refrigerator for 30 minutes or overnight. Sear meat in a wok or frying pan with marinade. This is great for pork, chicken, or steak. Serve with steamed white rice.

    • Paul’s co-worker recommends adding ¼ tsp of MSG to enhance flavor.

  • Having a bit ofa blah day...don't really feel much like doing anything, so I thought i better make a list to motivate myself.

My washer is suppose to be delivered today between 4-6. I will most likely spend the evening doing laundry then. My hubby has been so tired he hasn't been able to put the other shelf together for me, but I hope he can to it tonight.

Ok, time to get serious and plot out the rest of my day. I have already gotten in a bit of a nap. YEAH!

  • Morning....man do I ever wake up tires. What is up with that. I even went to bed at a decent hour. OH well...I have to run as i have to get to the Dr's to have my Depo shot before heading to work. My appointment is at 8:40 so I better book since I have to drop Tom off at daycare first. later!

    HAPPY HAPPY FRIDAY!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Today was a long day. Work was fine, but was out all day making homevisits. A couple of school IEP meetings...so just out and about. I got home a bit early so I could make supper and we could go to meet the teacher.

We met Tommy's teacher. He starts ECFE on Monday. It works out great again this year as both my hubby and I can go to school with him. It really is a nice thing to be able to do together. My hubby missed out so much on Erik's life that he makes up for it with Tommy. He never missed a single prenatal appointment or a Dr appointment since. What a great Dad! Tommy is one lucky little boy!

I am really tired tonight so I am not going to do much of anything and I am heading to bed to read a page or two before I fall asleep. NIGHT ALL!!!

Only one more day to the weekend!! YEAH!! This week sure has flown.

  • Time to call it a night. We have been busy all evening again. We had a nice supper and Josh headed off to church for confirmation orientation as he is a jr. group leader.

Hubby and I went to Sam's club and bought two industrial strength shelving units. We then took Tommy for a walk, bath and off to bed with our little baby boy. Then I went down stairs and took all the stuff off the current shelves down stairs. Hubby helped me to rip the wooden shelves in my laundry room out. We started putting the new shelves together and got one done. I am very happy with my new shelves. Before you know it my laundry room will be all organized again. YEAH!!! Then on to the next room!

Tomorrow we are busy with meet the teacher at Tommy's ECFE class. Hopefully after Tommy's bedtime we will be able to get the last shelf together in the laundry room!

  • I have completed one report...took a fraction of the time I had alloted for it! YEAH!! So here I am again on my 15 minute break. 15 minute breaks are what keep me going....I set out to do a task, complete it and am rewarded with a 15 minute break, which puts me in the computer usually. This only works when I am at home of course.

It feels so weird to not be doing laundry. I will definitely be going to the laundromat on Friday night. I hope we don't get too backed up. The purchasing of the new washer has me wanting to reorganize my laundry room. I am going to see if the shelves we had looked at are still on sale at Sam's Club. I need to redo stuff in there! The reorganizing bug has hit me, like it always does once school starts and the kids aren't in the house 24/7. The bug already hit me at work, not a paper out of place. LOL!! Yes, I am obsessive! Drive hubby nuts!

Well before I came in here I sweep the porch so that is all done. Left to do....Menu and Dining Room table. LATER!
