  • hello....well the van is in the shop again. It started shaking terribly while I was driving home from work last night. SO.....I am at home awaiting to hear the estimate for repairs from the garage. I suppose this is a blessing in disguise as I now have a unplanned day at home and get things cleaned and done for the weekend. So I think I will be playing my 15 minute game today.....Flylady would be proud.

Speaking of flylady, check out her Holiday Control Journal. I printed mine and will look at it this evening.

Well I am off to complete my one hour cleaning then I will be back to chekc in..........

    To do:
    Change sheets
    Dust and Vacuum
    Sweep & Mop

See ya in an hour! The race is on.................

  • Not the most productive weekend, but I did get alot of laundry done, dishes, made menus and my grocery list! I will get groceries tomorrow night after work. It took me a bit to figure out how much food we needed for the weekend. We will have 12-14 people for supper on Saturday night and about 30 people for Tom's birthday and Josh's confirmation on Sunday. So I certianly had to figure out food!! It is going to be a miind boggling busy week. I am really looking forward to seeing my family as they are from out of state and I don't see them much.

I need to get things ready for Tom's birthday party at daycare on Friday. I have to make the loot bags and make the cookies they will be decorating. I think I will be taking Friday and Monday off of work. Well time for me to get ready for the week....later!

Yes,  I take a picture of my kids every year on the first day of school.  I don't have one of Erik as he is at him bio mom's for the school year.

  • I did get a few things done by not going to craft night last night. I took Joshua shopping and bought him a new outfit for confirmation. I hung out iwth Tommy. I got things ready to be mailed, invites for confirmation and Tommy's brithday party. I packaged up my sisters b-day gift too. That will get mailed today!

This morning we are going to go to the library and Tommy is getting a haircut at 11:30 at Kids' Hair. A salon for little kids, the only place I get his hair cut.

I plan in deep cleaning my bedroom this weekend. Wash the curtains and comforter, etc. I bought a new hanging lamp to replace the 70"s wicker one. It brightens the room up much more! I want to get matching bedside lamps, but have to have hubby look at those as they are a bit expensive.

Tonight I need to get groceries, so I need to get my menu done for the week and for the confirmation party! For comfirmation I plan on making sandwiches, actually I am going to buy crossiants from Sam's Club and make chicken salad and have sliced ham for them. I going to make Greek Pasta Salad and buy potato salad from Sam's Club. I have about 30 people coming between confirmation and Tom's birthday. It will be a FULL house!
I better hit the shower and get moving as we need to go to the library before Tom's haircut and I am still in my PJS!

  • It sure is funny how things always seem to work out.  I was stressing with how much I have to get done today and my 3:30 appointment called and cancelled, which means I can go home early and take Josh shopping this afternoon.  YEAH!!!

  • AAAAh.....it is Friday!!  YEAH!!  It is suppose to be a nice weekend.  I hope to get outside some and enjoy it.   I do have a lot to get done around the house too. I was going to go to Craft Night Tonight, but I am going to take Josh to Marshall Fields and get him measured for a dress shirt for his confirmation.  I will also have them help me pick out a tie for him.  Then we will go to a different store for a new pair of Dockters and shoes.

I plan to deep clean my bedroom this weekend too.  I might buy new lamps as well.  We will see what I have left after the confirmation clothes for Josh.  Busy, Busy, Busy......

    Got to get busy....later!
