Month: January 2004

  • Tommy's eye is still very very swollen.  I had to come into work today for a meeting, so my SIL (she is such a blessing) took her child to daycare and is home with mine.  She is a life saver.  I will be home by 1:00.  Off to answer some phone calls and head home to be with my like messy eye boy.

Another email from Erik's mom again...he really is not doing well at all.  He had another month added on to his grounding.  I called Fraser Center today...I hope to hear from them soon.  Everyone I mention his behavior to at my work, suggest one disablity.   Argh...I have had my suspiscions as well, but not something I want to address with his mother.

  • Well Tommy has pink eye.  It sure is a treat to try and get ointment in a 2 year olds eye by yourself.  I nearly had to sit on him.  So I have another day off of work, and an unplanned one, but probably not a terrible thing since I am recovering from this sinus infection still.

So Tom and I are home today.  We are going to make cookies once Dora the Explorer is done.  Not sure what else the day will consist of, I suppose I should get my chores from yesterday done and exercise.  Later!

  • I didn't do much of my list last night.   I still had such a headache and not feeling the best so I opted for sleep.   Erik called last night, very very disappointing news.  He called to tell his Dad he had stolen again.  He took 5 dollars from his brother.  His grounding got extended and he is writing more in his book.  I was so surprised he had done this again after only 2 days.   This is so out of control and sad.   He takes the dumbest things sometimes too.  I will be calling Fraser Center where we took him for extensive testing to see what the reccommend as we are out of ideas and punishment doesn't seem to work at all.  I think he has an impulse control problem.  I think he sees something he wants and can't stop the impulse to take it.

Well I suppose I should get ready for work.  Only 2 more pounds and I get to go and have my eye brows professionally done!  YEAH!  I have never had that done.

Tommy slept ok last night.  He went to bed at like 10:00 and woke up at 5:00.  I just looked at him and his eye looks matted and red.  Hmm...will have to have hubby look at it to see if it is pink eye.    Argh...always something.

    Later!

  • I returned to work today.  It wasn't so bad really, 20 voice mails, 120 emails and a huge stack of mail.   I have gotten through it all except I have a number more phone messages to return.  I am thinking about heading home soon as I still am not feeling the best.  But that could have something to do with my lack of sleep last night. The antibiotics seems to be helping.   I read until about 11:00 and then Tommy woke up at least 3 times through out the night.  ARGH!!!

Hubby had his neck surgery yesterday and had the lump removed.  They sent it in for biopsy and he returns for a check up in two weeks.   It is a larger incision then I thought they would make, I hope it heals up nicely for him.

Do you ever have random people say something to you and make your day???  Today two people I work with but don't see much said to me, "Wow, you have really lost weight."  I smiled all day.  I didn't tell them how I gained 2 pounds over the holidays, I jsut smiled for the day.   It has motivated me to keep at it, since these are not people that know I was trying to lose weight.  It is a slow process though, my problem is I don't eat.  I have to really make myself eat all the meals I need to a day.  You would think that not eating would make you lose weight, but it really puts your body into starvation mode and you don't lose weight.  So if I eat more food, I lose weight.  Which reminds me, I need to eat my afternoon snack, but of course I am not hungry.  Oh well.

    Later!!

  • I have completed my bedtime routine and it is 9:30.  YEAH!  I plan on doing a little to do list for tomorrow and head to bed.  I am tired and not feeling well, but hope to return to work tomorrow.

I have decluttered and cleaned Tommy's room.  All I have left to do in there is clean the closet out.  I can't believe how much stuff I have gotten together to donate.   I have to remember less is more!!!  Now if I could get my hubby to subscribe to that idea.

Back to work....later!  Argh...forgot about my laundry...got to go switch that around too!   Still no ideas for supper.  Hmmm...

  • MONDAY PROGRESS:

I have ran my errands today.  I was so happy this morning my Dr's nurse called and said I didn't have to come in for my appointment this morning.  They would just send over a script for antibiotics for my sinus infection.  Good thing I get these very regularly.   I am actually feeling worse this morning.  My asthma is even acting up a bit.  But a day of antibiotics and I will be fine.  I return to work tomorrow and have lots to do today!

The sooner you fall behind, the more time you'll have to catch up!

Careful planning puts you ahead in the long run; hurry and scurry puts you further behind.  Proverbs 21:5

  • I probably made a bad decision this evening.  Tommy fell asleep at like 7:15 since I didn't give him a nap.  Instead of deciding to go to bed myself at a reasonable hour, I am here typing to you.  lOL!!  I might not get much sleep tonight if he wakes up and thinks nap time is over.   Luckily for me, I don't have to go to work tomorrow.  I don't return to work until Tuesday.  One more day of freedom!

Erik had returned to his mothers.  I am sure he is happy to be gone.  He really had to do alot of writing, but his father was so upset with him.  I would seriously be surprised if Erik steals again.  The whole situation is very disappointing.

Once Tommy had his bath and Erik was gone.  I decided to finish cleaning our office.  I have things pretty organized.  Tomorrow I have a Dr appointment in the morning and then I plan on decluttering Tommy's closet and room as well as my own.   I also got a bit caught up on my email tonight.  My SIL came over and did laundry too!

    TO DO MONDAY:

    • Go to Dr.

    • Get Tabs for Blazer

    • De-clutter/ clean Tommy's room

    • Declutter/Clean my room

    • Call the Vets to take away all the things I decluttered

    • Make Menu for next two weeks

  • Just as I figured, hubby asked Erik where Nick's Mexican money was and ERik had it.  He had taken it.  Now Erik is spending the day writing over and over....."I will not steal, Stealing is wrong."

His mother already had a policeman talk to him about stealing, didn't have any impact on him.

Tommy is doing terrible about taking a nap.  Argh....might end up skipping the nap today.   Off to check on my laundry.

  • MOrning...I am so glad yesterday is over, enough birthday parties.  I was surprised my nephew did very well, he has autism so many times big parties are difficult for him.  But he did well.   He even waited very nicely for opening presents.  He sat by me and I came up with riddles for him, he loves that.  He was good about opening presents.  I could tell a couple of things he wasn't thrilled with especially one card that had Elmo on it, but he didn't say anything which is really good for him.  He usually says what he thinks.

We got home about 9:00 and got ready for bed.   My SIL called this morning and something of my nephews is missing, some money.  Of course the usual suspect is Erik.  It is getting so difficult to take him anywhere he is always stealing.  We let him sleep over at a friends last time he was here and he stole some ornaments off their tree, and he stole some of his grandpa's xmas presents as he didn't think he had enough.   Now we took him to a party and things disappeared again.   I will have to go through him room again.  We will end up punishing him again, this is getting so out of control.

I have sent him to his room, had him write essays about why he took something, how it made others feel, etc.  NOthing seems to make any difference.

Time to get ready for church and wake Erik up.  Later!
