Month: February 2004

  • Sunday evening.....the weekend is coming to an end.  Argh...but it has been nice.  Right now Tommy is taking a bath (love this wireless internet).  Hubby went to pick up Joshua at my ex's house.  I think they are home actually, I jsut heard the car door.   I just was inspecting our new curtains and one of the ascots has a hole in it.  ARGH!!  Back to the store tomorrow.  I while have to have them order another one.

I should be able to get alot done tonight since I had a good nap.  I slept for over 2 hours, but then so did Tommy so he won't be going to bed on time tonight either.  OH well...he has school tomorrow.

I am off to get Tommy out of the tub and then get hubby to help me with curtains.  Later all!!!

  • Busy day....church this morning.  Then home to get things together togo over to a friends house that jsut had a baby.  We took over some gifts and a couple of frozen meals for her family.

Then it was off to curtain shop!  OH MY WORD are drapes expensive.  We want some nicethink ones.  YIKES!   The sheers were buy one at full price and get the second for $1.00.  I need like 7 of them for my two windows.   The grand total for both windows was a shock, but we will have new curtains.   I had to order 8 of the ascots as they didnt' have enough, but she ordered them at sale price.  They will come in the mail within 5 days.  I will take pictrues when I have the windows all done.

After curtain shopping we went to Timber Lodge for supper.  Tommy doesn't behave well in sit down restaurants, so this wasn't the best choice.  We were going to go check out the Aldi store in IGH, MN but all decided to come home and take naps instead.  I will have to check it out sometime on my lunch breaks from work.

Well with this all said, it is time for me to grab a quick nap.  Tommy fell asleep on the way home from JCPENNEY's so I am not sure how long he will sleep.  Later!!!

    Enjoy your day!

  •

TOMORROW???  Curtain shopping!!   As you can see my current curtains in my living room are ripped and looking bad!  Trust me they are even worse in person.  The sheers which you can't see in this picture have big holes in them.

Tomorrow we are going to JCPenney's as they are having a 20-50% off sale this weekend and hopefully that includes curtains and rods!  Hopefully I will be able to show you my new ones tomorrow.

I am off to bed...staying up too late again.  NIGHT!

  • OUR AFTERNOON.........

Mom and Lad home for the afternoon.

After his nap, Tommy watched a book on tape on my laptop.  We checked it out from the library.  It was really cool.  It was Nemo from Disney.

After Nemo, then it was time to get the dishes done.  Tommy loves to do the dishes and cries when we are done.

After dishes he played Playdoh while I prepared supper.  We spend alot of time in the kitchen, my favorite room.

Then we played Hats.  Tommy has a box full of hats.  He enjoys putting different ones on and running around the house.  This must be his mean look.

    Now a happy hat moment!!!!

How it is time for me to relax for the evening.  My list is pretty much done and hubby is home from work.   Later!

  • I decided to make this with my pork roast tonight.   Two new recipes on one night.  I hope we like them

    Corn Bread Veggie Bake

1 can (10-3/4 ounces) condensed cream of mushroom soup, undiluted
    1 cup milk, divided
1-1/2 cups frozen mixed vegetables, thawed
    1 package (8-1/2 ounces) corn bread/muffin mix
    1 egg, beaten
    2/3 cup french-fried onions

In a bowl, combine soup, 2/3 cup milk and vegetables.  Transfer to a greased 11x7x2 inch baking dish.  In a bowl, combine corn bread mix, egg and remaining milk just until blended.  Carefully spread over vegetable mixture.

Sprinkle with onions (pan will be full).  Bake at 350 degrees for 25-30 minutes or until lightly browned and a toothpick inserted near center comes out clean.

    Yield:  6 servings

  • Since I am home this morning, I remembered to record Blue's Clues and Dora The Explorer.   We have a few tapes, but we have really watched them alot.   Every night before bed Tommy and I crawl into mommy's big bed and watch a short little show - 1/2 hour or less.  He then is willing to go to his bed after he has cuddled with Mommy.    I will need to tape some Maisy too...as he enjoys that show as well.   So we can watch some new shows.   I taped the premiere episode Blue Talks....we hae watched that ones.

    Off to Shower...
