Month: March 2004

  • Hey everyone - I need a few minutes to touch base for my daily therapy.  I feel like a crazy juggler that can't stop juggling or the world will end.  So I need to vent!

I took some time today to just re-group.  If I get off my schedule or have too many unexpected events I get so off balance.  And my life is an amazing game of balance!!  It doesn't take much to make it all fall.  But then again I am a perfectionist so I don't do well with change either.   LOL!!

Work is extremely busy.  I have gotten about 6 new cases in the last few weeks with about 6 more in intake that will be coming to me as they are siblings to kids I already work with.    SO needless to say I am really swamped.  So today I really took some time to schedule time to work late into the evening a few times extra this month.  So I will have my SIL pick up Tommy from daycare tomorrow and next Tuesday so I can stay at work until about 8 or 9 in the evening.  Then next week I am suppose to be at the MSSA conference in Bloomington the 17-19th.  So I am out of the office alot.  I also am planning on going home to South Dakota to see my family over Spring Break.  So with all that time out of the office I am afraid I will fall even further behind. ARGH!!   Definitely time to write TO DO lists!!!

Over lunch today I went to a workshop called Taking Control Of Your Financial Life by a woman from Consumer Credit Counseling.  I didn't really learn anything new, but has a few good reminders of things I should be doing.   I will share some of the info at a later date.   hopefully.   I need to add a section to my website for financial and frugal saving tips.

Well I am off to a meeting as I have finished my lunch and need to get back to work.  Tonight is Church night......

  • Life is very hectic again, I will have to get all caught up with you all soon.  Really!!!

Tonight I finished my Pampered Chef party orders and placed my order.   I ended up getting about $256 in free/discounted products.   I have a ton of things coming I am very excited.  This took most of the evening.   I still need to wash dishes before I go to bed and it is almost 10:00 now.

Tomorrow's another day right???   Tomorrow night is church night of course.  I had a great weekend visiting with my brother.  We ate out twice and went shopping.  We rented and watched two movies too!   More later!

  • I am closing my pampered chef party tonight.  If you are wanting to place an online order, check out the protected post with ordering information.  please let me know if you place an order.   And thanks a million to those that did place orders.

I have done much better than I thought I would with this show.  I sold over 800.00 worth  and have 4 bookings for parties.   I get to do my shopping tonight.  Yeah!  I hope I am able to get the things I want.  Later!

  • I made these last night for my pampered chef party.  YUMMY!!

  • Wow...xanga, is working!! YEAH...and of course I am up to see it!   I actually had to be seen by the Dr again this morning.  I went to the clinic to get my Depo shot and the nurse wanted a Dr to listen to my breathing.  So I ended up being in the office for over 2 hours due to their concerns about my asthma.  ARGH....I was not happy.  I just didn't have time for that today.   I saw a nurse practioner since my Dr was off and she double my does of predisone.  That is why I am still up and going at almost 2am.  ARGH....

I have cleaned out most of the cupboards in the kitchen.  Tomorrow I am going to Target to  buy these organizers for in my large food cupboard and I will reorganize that tomorrow night.  I think  I will try to geta bit of sleep in a little here.   I only have three more cupboards in my kitchen to empty and clean, then I guess I can move on to scrubbing the fronts of all the cupboards.  I don't start tapering down on my predisone from another 3 days, so I think I will complete my kitchen by then.

My pampered chef party had a terrible turnout tonight due to snow.   I do have about 14 outside orders so that should be good.  I have some more at the office I have to pick up.  I have to close my party on Tuesday of next week.    I will put the order info in a protected post for those that asked to order, since you need my real name.

Well I guess I should head to bed.  Later!

  • DOING THE HAPPY DANCE!!!

My oldest son just called to tell me my curtain rod and drapes came in the mail today!!  Yeah!  Hubby will be putting those up for me tonight.  yeah!  I hope it is all the right stuff or I will be so disappointed.

I will have to take a picture once they are up.  This certainly has been an ordeal!  I hope it is nearly over.

  • OH yeah....Keep Brown Eyed Mom (Angie)  and her family in your prayers.   Her father, Ronnie isn't doing very well.   Drop by and lend your support, I think she could use it during this difficult time.  She has some amazingly strong faith.

  • I feel like I have so much to post and never a moment to really connect with everyone.  I bet my real life friends would think I am pretty weird, than again maybe all of you will too, but I really do think of some people on xanga as friends.  I will say to my hubby sometimes, my friend michelle, etc.  and he will ask me who I am talking about.  I forget not everyone gets that my regular SIR's are friends to me.  LOL!!   So I feel like I am out of touch with my *friends lately!

BTW, MommaM, my pamperchef consultant is setting up a way to order through my show online.  She is just finishing it up today and I will email from your site the info to you.  OK???   You need to have my *real name to enter the site.  If anyone else wants to place an order I will gladly mail you the info as well.  I am closing my party on Tuesday and can't accept orders after that.

Finally I received last months child support today.   YEAH!!  I was able to catch up on some bills then.   Speaking of bills I suppose I should finish my lunch and get back to work and earn some $$.

    FUTURE BLOGS........

Update on how I am doing on my New Years Resolutions!!

  • Been reading but not posting the last few days.  I have a feeling that will change now.  I just got back from the Dr and she put me on Predisone, which means I won't be sleeping at all for a few days.  But it is worth it, I do breathe better.  The inhaled steroids (pulmacort) didn't seem to be cutting it.  I am on a short burst of Predisone so hopefully only a few nights of manic cleaning into the wee hours of the night.

I have decided to stay home from the movie tonight.  I didn't want to cough and blow my nose through the entire movie and bother people.  So Tommy and I will be staying home.

Friday is my pampered chef party.  I have a lot of outside orders already.  Not sure home many people will be actually coming to the party.  I hate to call and ask them, just not within my comfort zone.  I need to still go to the grocery store and buy the items to make the food for the party.

I did grocery shopping Tuesday and finished today.   I stayed under my 150.00 budget for two weeks.  I was happy about that.  I bought most of my staples at Cub Foods and spent 91.74 and today I went to Rainbow and spent 24.08.   At Rainbow I bought pork spare ribs which were on sale for .99 a pound.    I bought 6 packs, so should be set for a while.  I stock up on meat only when one sale and plan my meals around what I have in the freezer mostly.  So my grand total for 2 weeks of groceries was 115.82.  Pretty good, I think even after I go buy the items for I need for the party I will still be under my 150 budget.  YEAH!!  Always makes me happy, but I hate taking the time to menu plan and clip coupons.  It takes me almost 2 hours to get it all done, but so worth it.  Especially since I saved money on groceries I could afford to get my haircut at the spa!  LOL!!   So Tuesday I got my haircut and had my eyebrows waxed.

My curtain saga continues..............I still don't ahve curtains in my living room.  I am not so happy with JCPenney right now, but that is material for another blag.  I have to run and pick up Tommy so I have supper ready for Josh and Paul to go to the movie tonight.    LATER!!!

  • I am a bit under the weather, but wanted to finally touch base with you all.  I am having trouble with my asthma.  I am heading to the Dr in a few minutes.  I will chat at ya tonight.  I was going to go to the Passions with my hubby and oldest, but don't think I am up to it.  We were going with our bible study group and confirmation.

I will do a proper blog, Later.......More Later!!
