Month: May 2004

  • I got home from work last night at about 10:00 and am leaving again this morning around 8:00.  BUSY, BUSY......I have to appear in court this morning.  I better get going so I get there in time.  The judge doesn't like it so much is the social worker is late, holds up things.    I will be working until around 3:30 today and then I have a chiro appointment and church.  Later!

  • TIRED this morning.....Argh...I hope to work a lot of hours at work today.  I hope my back cooperates with that.  I have a ton to get caught up on paperwork wise.   I plan on working late tonight and hopefully Friday if I feel ok.

    TO DO:

    Chores -
    Make Salad for Church Picnic
    B-day Present for Jasper
    Laundry

Off to shower and start my day!!  Later!

  • I had a busy weekend and I am tired.  I had a planning meeting for the ministry fair on Friday, then set up for it on Saturday and the Ministry Fair was on SUnday.    I am glad we did the ministry fair.  We gained 4 new committee members and 3 additonal ladies to cook meals for families with new babies.

Sunday I had party at the house for all the family May birthdays.  It rained of course so we had about 25-30 people in the house...LOL!!  It was fun, but crowded.  I was gald when everyone went home.   My parents left this morning to return to South Dakota.

    PARTY PICTURES.......

All the Birthday People!!!   Bonnie, Joe, Grandma, Josh and Scott!

    The Grandpas!

    Grandma C!

Tom and Auntie Bonnie (His daycare mom!)

Today was very busy at work, I don't even want to get into all of that!!  Then it was to the chiropractor and since hubby was off today I stopped off and went tanning.  YEAH!!   It was a bit uncomfortable to lay on the tanning bed, but I only went 10 minutes.  This was the first time since the accident that I tried to tan.

I have a pretty productive evening.  I got home around 6:00 from chiro and Tanning...

I finally planted my container garden plants.  They weren't looking too great, I hope I didn't wait too long!!!  They were laying down...So far planted cuke, tomaotes and strawberries.  Tommy had so much fun planting and watering them .  He is in charge of watering them each night.   We also got out Tommy's little power wheels 3-wheeler and taught him to drive it.  LOL!!  That was fun!!  He can make it go fine, but can't get the hang of steering yet.

Then I did two loads of laundry, returned over due books to library, paid bills and reconciled my checkbook.

I have started a bad things with Tommy....he won't go to bed at night.  He wants to be in my bed.  So he fusses all night until I go to bed and then I take him with me since I want to go to sleep and not listen to him all night.   Well now it has become a habit.  My hubby isn't too thrilled with it.   I am actually ok with it.    He is my last baby and he wants snuggle time and to be with his mommy.   I figure I might as enjoy it while it lasts since he will be a big boy soon enough and not want to be with mommy.    So I usually go to bed before hubby and when he come to bed he takes sleeping Tommy back to his bed.   Tommy usually wakes once during the night and I jsut put him in bed with me.....I am too tired to do anything else.   I jsut am not that concerned about it all.

Well I suppose I should put my laundry away and get to bed.  Later All!!!!

  • My busy weekend...just got more busy!!  I was sitting watching TV with hubby at about 7:15 when I remembered I was suppose to be at a committee meeting at church at 7:00.  I head off to church.  I didn't have any of my info done for the ministry fair...ARGH!!

I got home from the meeting at church at about 10:00.  I had a number of projects to complete before needing to be at church again at 10:00am to set up for the ministry fair.   I made a little info flyer about our committee, Special Deliveries.   I also made the flyer for our next Mommy & Me event we are sponsoring.   I also had to made the commerative lambs for the last few baptisms that have been at the church.  Since my accident I was a bit behind in that.  I have to hang them on the baptism banner tomorrow morning.   I still need to write up the minutes from the meeting tonight, but that will have to wait until Monday.  I just don't have the time!

It is now about midnight and since I was gone all evening the house is trashed.  Josh didn't do the dishes like he was suppose to at 10:00pm.   My parents will be here tomorrow at around 3:00 and I have not gotten groceries yet.  I thought i was going to do that tonight until I remebered about the church meeting.

So I have alot to fit in tomorrow and clean up the house.   On Sunday I need to man the table at the ministry fair for a hour and 1/2, then come home and at 4:00 everyone is coming for the party.    YIKES!!  I have no idea how I will get it all done.  Well I best get to bed.  Good Night!!

  • Friday...the beginning to our busy weekend.  My parents are coming Saturday for the weekend.   We will be having a party on Sunday to celebrate Josh's birthday.   We are also celebrating Joe, Scott, my mom and Bonnie's birthdays.     We have about 25 people coming over give or take a few.  So I have to make food for them all.   My SIL is bringing a fruit salad otherwise I am providing all the food.   I like to cook so I prefer to make the food, etc.

I am going to make a pasta salad, subs, and sloppy joes.  I suppose I should get my list together so I can pick some stuff up at ALdi's on the way home from work.   I will have to figure it all out.   Well I am going to pay a few bills and hit the shower!!   See ya later!

  • Tommy slept through the night pretty well.  He didn't wake up much, but woke up early coughing.  He is coughing alot still.  I gave him more of the steroid in ice cream this morning.  I called my SIL and told her I would keep him home with me today.  I think he is coughing too much to do to daycare.

I had a very rough appointment with the Chiropractor.  I told him I was having a difficult time sitting still.  I had alot of pain in my lower back.  He did a different adjustment.   OH MY!!!   I had tears running down my face once he was done.  It really hurt.   I am very sore today and I don't want to go to my appointment today at all.   The adjustment he did might have improved my sitting...we will see.  I usually can sit pretty good when I get up in the morning.   I can't tell you how tired of being in pain I am.  I wish this would all go away and I could have my normal life back.  I am now 9 weeks post accident I believe.

I need to work from home today alot.  I have to get caught up with my paperwork too.   So I brought home my work laptop and will be typing away on there most of the day.  I do need to call and reschedule a homevisit I had today.  Tomorrow I have to be at the office though.  I hope that works out...... The teacher is different too.   I do really enjoy the parents we have been in class with and would like to continur to get together with them.   We will see...

Last night we had church.  Next week is our last Families First class.  We are having a picnic with the kids.   I am debating if I will be joining this group next year. It will be held at a different church than our own.   I like that it was at our church since we all have a class there on Wed. nights.  Now we would be at a different church than our children.

  • Tommy went to the Dr this morning and has croup.  He was put on steroids so we will see how that goes.   He is pretty hyper right now.   I jsut hope he sleeps some tonight.  When I take steroids I stay up all night cleaning .etc.   I sure get alot done!   I don't know what I will do with Tommy if that is the case with him as well.

I brought home work so if I need to stay home tomorrow I can.   Well Tommy wants me to play with him, gotta go!

  • Argh..the Roto Rooter person called this morning and woke us.  They said the technician would be here at 7:45.  Hmm....8:10 and no technician yet.  Yeah....he is here!   $125.00 to have the drain opened.  Not as bad as I thought it would be, but not budgeted for.  Those unplanned expenses are the worst.

The Vets have been here and picked up our donatations....I had a good pile.

I think I will scheduele with them to  come again next month.  More motivation to keep decluttering.

Well hubby is staying home with Tommy today since he had a fever last night.  I have a meeting I had to be at this afternoon.  Well time to shower and get stuff done!

  • Well doesn't life change by the minute....never a dull moment with children.   I was getting Tommy ready for bed and I thought he felt a little warm.  He is running a temp of almost 101 degrees....so I had to call my SIL's to figure out who could watch Tommy.   Hubby ended up calling his boss and taking the day off.  I have to go to work in the afternoon.   Tommy has a runny nose, congested cough and is loosing his voice.  Hubby will be home in the morning for the roater rooter guy and I can take Tom to the Dr.   Then I can go to work in the afternoon.

IT will be another early morning tomorrow to get out donations out for the VETS and be ready for the guy to fix the floor drain.   Time for us to head to bed!  Later!!!

  • Well I thought I had the drain in the sink cleared so I started some laundry....OOPS....I flooded the laundry room again.  ARGH!!!  The sink is leaking and the floor drain isn't draining.  ARGH....so tomorrow morning Roto Rooter is coming between 8-10 to clear the floor drain.  I have no idea how much that will cost.   We will need to get a new sink in there as well.   Our washing machine drains into the tub and with it leaking, not so great!

I hope once the floor drain is open I will be able to still do laundry.  I am not sure when we will be able to have a new sink put in.  I am hoping that is something my hubby will be able to do.  We will see....

We all have completed our Tuesday night chores.  I had Vacuum/Sweep and trash.   Hubby still has dishes to do, but other wise we are done.    Tomorrow morning the disabled vets are coming to pick up a bunch of donations from us.   I have a big pile again.   I will schedule with them right away to come in a month again.  I will get my house decluttered yet!!!!

Well time to get Tommy ready for Bed.....Later!
