Month: November 2004

  • Time to call it a night.   I didn't get much done on my list tonight, Tommy didn't exactly cooperate nor is he even asleep yet!   I did manage to accomplish a few things...

    Accomplished Tonight:

    • Made Supper - Spaghetti and Garlic Toast

    • Bathed Tommy

    • Made Invitations for Christmas Cookie Exchange

    • Researched topic for Families First Class Tomorrow night

    • Found the recipe for the cookies I will make for the exchange

Josh should be home from the hockey game soon....I am off to bed and taking my little snuggler,Tommy with me.  Night!

  • Looks like it is just Tommy and I this evening.   Hubby is at the hospital and Josh is going to the Hockey Game.   I hope I can convince Tommy to go to bed early so I can too!  I guess I get to do all the chores too!

  • Home from work....hubby is gone for the night again.  He is at the hospital with Erik from 5 to 11:00.  Erik's mom is coming in at 11:00pm to watch him over night and record his dreaming.  He should be discharged tomorrow morning some time.   I hope they found something so we will know is he has epilepsy or not.   I am home with Tommy for the evening.

I stop and picked up a few things at the stores: Rainbow and Target after work.

Target had Hoodies on sale for 7.99, which I thought was good so I got one more for Erik for Christmas.

At Rainbow I picked up a couple of things I think were a good deal.   I am never 100% sure since my pricebook isn't done yet.  LOL!!  I am sure WisconsinMomof2 will be able to tell me if I did good or not.   She is great at being frugal.  I learn alot from her.

3 lb bag of Frozen Boneless/Skinless Chicken Breast - 4.99 - I think anything under 5.00 is usually pretty good.

    Bag Salad - 99 cents

Hormel Flavored Pork Loin - 6.99

Pork Shoulder Roast - 99 Cents a pound

    Milk - $1.00 off....so 2.69 for a gallon of 2%

Shredded Cheese - Cheddar and Moz - 2 cup bags 2 for 3.00  - I am not sure if this is cheaper than Aldi or not??

Saturday I will go to Aldi and finish up, and then sale items at Cub or that I can't find at Aldi.

  • Wow..you know I have had a busy work month when my expense check is over $200.00.  Yikes!!   I have been a busy little social worker.

  • Back from the allergist.  The appointment took way longer than anticipated and I missed my 12:00 homevisit and needed to reschedule.

    New Medication Regimen.....

Stopped taking the Advair - was giving me heart/chest pains.

    Increased Pulmicort to 4 puffs - 3 x daily
    Continue Zyrtec, and Singular
Predisone...increased again....GRRRR...will I ever get off this stuff!!   Back to 3 for 4 days, 2 for 3 days, then call the Dr.
Increase Aciphex to 2x daily - he's afraid the predisone might be hurting my stomach.

I also had my labs drawn since the prolonged use of predisone can mess with your kidneys.   He also checked my potassium levels since albuteral and Predisone both can deplete your potassium levels and I was in the ICU two years ago for depleted potassium levels related to over use of Albuteral.   Potassium is related to the function of your heart too and I am having chest pains.

At least with all the waiting I got a good start on my book for book group!!   I might even get this one done before we meet!

  • Late start this morning since I have to be at the Dr in Minneapolis at 9:30, I think it is.   This is a follow up with my allergist from last week.  I need to tell him I stopped taking the Advair since it was messing with my heart.  I hated how it made me feel.

So far this mroning I have laundry going and am having some breakfast.   I am going to shower, drop off Tom at daycare and stop at Target for one xmas gift for Erik that was sold out at the Target yesterday.   Then to the Dr in Minneapolis.

CLeaning night at our house.  It must get done since it was skipped last week since I was working late.

    Off to start my day.....

Supper tonight, Spaghetti, Salad and Garlic toast.

Praying for a complete night sleep tonight!!   I sleep very little since I am pretty busy around the house and with Tommy in the evening.   Last night I finally fell asleep around midnight and got up at 3:00 with Tommy.  I put him in bed with me for him to wake up shortly to inform me he wants to go back to his bed.   ARGH...the night before my hubby decided at 2:00 that he couldn't sleep and he should turn the light on and read for a bit...which means I got woke up too and couldn't fall back to sleep.  I sure hope to sleep in on Saturday a bit.......

  • Really tired and getting ready for bed here......tonight has been a very busy evening and I got alot accomplished that will make the next few weeks easier for us all.   I didn't work over Thanksgiving so I have alot to do at work.   I can't work late this week since Paul is unavailable to care for Tommy in the evening.   Tues, he needs to go to the hospital and be with Erik, Wednesday we have church and Thursday he has a church meeting.   I do plan to work late on Friday after I go to Erik's Dr. appt.

Then next week, I will be working well over my 40 hours.   I am scheduled to work late 4 nights out of 5.  So that hopefully will help get things done!     I plan on taking 2 weeks off in Jan to recooperate!
