  • Doing a Happy Dance!!  The garage just called and said the valve they are replacing was replaced last year and is under spare part warranty so they will fix the van free of charge!  Thank you, God.

  • Little Afternoon break here...been very busy today and accomplishing alot!  Feel great!

Last Friday I had called into the Dr as I was having alot of face pain and headache and thought I had a sinus infection.  My treating allergist was not in and the one covering jsut increased my predisone as he felt it was immflamation.  I swear I will never get off of predisone!   So I took 30 mg again all weekend.  Today I called in to my Dr for my weekly checkin.   He decided that he wants to put me on antibiotics to rule out the sinus infections.  Yeah...thank you!   He put me back on a taper again and I will check in with him next week.  So for the next week I will be doing a 30 odd day./ 10mg even day taper.   I hope this works.  I would love to get off this medication!

As for the side effects of the med...we all know weight gain is a biggy!   I am happy to say in the last month even on the meds I have lost 4 pounds.   Which is great.  I still plan on joining weight watchers with my friends at work to hopefully continue to lose the added med related weight.  I still would like to lose another 15 pounds.   I know it is not a great amount, but it has been difficult to take off with my health being so poor for the last 4 months.

Just heard from the garage about the van.  Some valve (EGR) is malfunctioning and is putting exhaust back into the engine.  So I am going to have them fix that to a tune of just under $600.00.     I will have to do some fancy foot work with the budget to make this work for the month.  ARGH!   Always something.

  • MONDAY!   Hubby and I stayed up too late last night and are paying for it this morning.  Argh.   Last nigth the van started acting up for Josh really bad so hubby had to go drive it home for him and it is in the garage now to get fixed.  Just what we didn't need.   But not being able to afford a new vehicle we have to expect our 10 year old ones to break I guess.   Time to tighten the budget again.  Hubby wanted to take the insurance off the van and park it for a few months so we could get ahead, but that doesn't seem like the best idea to me.   Little things add up....I had to pay for a haircut for Erik again.   He really needed one.   We paid for his last one too.

Today should be a normal day at work.  I hope to catch up on paperwork and make my appointments for homevisits this month.   Tommy didn't sleep that well last night.  He woke up a number of times.  This morning he says his toe hurts...OOPS...I think I put too small shoes on him for church.   I have to buy him some new brown church shoes on Saturday after payday.

Well time to scoot, fold a load of laundry and get a shower and head to work.  Tonight for supper we will have split pea soup and rolls.    I don't have many chores to do on Monday, just clean up Tom's room and my closet.   Have a great day!!!

  • I am off to bed...I hope everyone had a great weekend.   Tommy is sound asleep already.

  • Up from nap!  Hubby was nice and let me take a nap.  Tommy didn't take a nap.  He went outside and played in the snow instead.  Hopefully that means he will go to bed early, that would be nice.   Didn't do much this afternoon.  Watched a movie with hubby while Tommy and Erik were outside.

Now I am up and will do a bit of cleaning around here to start off our week on a good note.   I cleaned the bathroom already.  I need to clean up Tommy's room as he trashed it while I was trying to get him to take a nap.   I will also clean up our room a bit and sweep the office.

Waiting for Josh to get home from work.  He had called after he got to work and was having trouble with the van.  Oh joy!  More expenses for us.

Off to get another load of laundry up and folded.   Have a great evening.

  • Morning....the kids are having breakfast so I thought I would post quickly before heading to shower and get ready for church.   I got some more cross stitching done last night while watching a movie with hubby.   Tommy had have a stomach bug yesterday we had 5 to 6 messy diapers.   I hope that is done today.

Today is church of course and then I will make brunch for everyone.  I am going to make 2 breakfast pizzas.   I think Amy will come home with Josh after church too.   I don't have much planned for today, just pick up toys a bit and do some laundry.   I will also iron clothes for the week.  Next week is pretty busy for me and I have to be in Rochester again.

I have three new recipes to add that I hope to get to this afternoon as well.  Have a blessed day!

  • Updated my website and redecorated for St Pats Day.    I have part of my March Menu posted too!
