Month: April 2005

  • Been a quiet day....napping and reading.  I am almost 1/2 done with my book.   I walked one mile and worked out with Tommy.  Tomorrow is a bit more busy.   We have church of course in the morning.  Then I will come home and make Brunch.   I have to be back at the church at 3:00 for the cooking session.   That is about it for tomorrow.    Hopefully I will be able to fit in an hour of reading again tomorrow so I can get my book done by Thursday for group.

I need to find time to get our spring/summer clothes out.   I have a few things out since I bought them new, but not much.  Tommy only has a few short sleeve shirts out too.  So maybe we can get to that sometime tomorrow too!

Tommy and I are heading to bed.  Josh just got home from work...I haven't seen him all day.  He was sleeping when we left and at work when we got home.   Have a great night!  Good Night!

  • It is a rainy day here in MN.....we are home from the library, Sam's Club and the bank.   We also went to the Elementary School Carnival.  Tommy had a fun time and actually was willing to attempt each game.  It is always a great family event.  It is still raining so I think I will curl up in bed and read.  Supper is in the crockpot and smells good...so what better things to do on a rainy day than read!   Have a great day!

  • It is getting more busy in our house and summer will soon be here so I ordered Menu Mailer again this year.  I find it so helpful in the summer.   This year they have a new menu mailer for Frugal Meals.  So I am trying that one.   I jsut ordered it today and should get my first menu on Wednesday.   It is a real time saver for me!

  • I was going to try and run to Aldi while Tommy was at preschool, but I had to take care of work related stuff and coordinate a hospital discharge.  Argh....so I am going to run a couple of closer errands until Tommy is done with preschool then I will do groceries in the afternoon.     Plenty to do........

  • I hope to get caught up on reading blogs this weekend.    It has been an incredibly busy week.  I have to work a few hours today to coordinate a discharge from the Mayo Hospital.   Grrrr....so I certainly have work more than my 40 hours this week.

Our weekend is pretty quiet, though I have a cooking session at church on Sunday afernoon.    I really like having our cleaning day on Thursdays!!   Then the house is all in order for my day off and I can focus on other projects I want to work on.  Today I am going to clean up in the laundry room a bit this morning.

I need to work on reading my book for book group.  I just started to read it last night so I have to get busy as I need to have it done by Thursday.   We are reading Children of God Go Bowling by Shannon Olson.     I also finsihed Good Harbor by Anita Diamont last night.   So time to start another book on tape today.   I have been driving so much that I really have been getting through the books on tape.   The Dakota library has a new service where you can download books on tape and listen to them.  So there is no waiting to check them out.  I still have to figure out how it works.   You might need a mp3 player or something.  You can listen to them on your laptop too, but that isn't very convenient for me.   They have some good books on there!

Well time to shower and get going on this day!    I hope to exercise alot this weekend and mind my points.   I didn't weigh in last week since I was out of town and I think I gain with all the eating out and drinks I had!    Not good....but it was fun.

  • Tomorrow should be a relaxing day....I really don't have much to do.  The house is clean and laundry is pretty caught up.......I think I will work on straightening the laundry room in the am while Tommy is at school.  In the afternoon I need to get groceries.   Very tired....heading to bed.  Good night!

  • Life is busy again....came back to a hopping caseload and that is emotionally draining sometimes, crisis, after crisis.    If I can get one crisis handled today I hope to still have tomorrow off or I might be working a few extra hours this week.

I haven't even started my book for book group so I hope to be able to do that this weekend, though hubby wants us doing yard work.  Hmmm.....tonight is our weekly house cleaning night.  We have moved it to Thursdays since I work late on Monday and Tuesdays.    I think it might work out ok.

Well time to wake up Tommy and get to work.  Have a great day!!
