  • yEAH...It is 9:00 and I am home from work after about 13 hours of work.   YEAH!  So now my next two days are easy only 8 hours each and I get to have Friday off of course to run errands, take Tommy to preschool and I have a Dr appointment.  I have tickets to go to a play on Friday night with my mom.  I am hoping she gets in town in time to go.

Sunday is my oldest's birthday!   It is so amazing to see him turning 17.   Man did I ever luck out with this kid.   I can't really complain about him.  I have enjoyed raising him very much.   Actually he and I grew up together....because I was 17 when I had him.  Now to see him turning that same age.  I will have to show some pics later this weekend.....WOW....I can't believe how the time has flown.    And the luckiest part is my son still tells me he loves me on the phone, before he goes to bed, etc.    He will hug me.......he is a sweet boy.     We are truly blessed to be his parents.

  • Busy day....busy day.....I have been out and about alot, which makes my day go faster!  I did observations in a couple of schools to see kids working on their IEP goals.   I love being in the schools...especially the elmentary school.  They are so cute!   I can't wait for Tommy to start school and we can be involved in all that again.  Well at least some of it I am looking forward to!

I just discovered I have to appear in court in a few days and I haven't written my letter to the judge....I guess I better get busy...never a shortage of work in this job!    I am off to do some reports and junk until my 7:00 home visit.

  • YAWN.....my second and last 12 hour day for the week.  I have an early meeting today so I should be home alot earlier.   I should be home by 8:30 tonight.   Yeah!   Last night I didn't leave my office until 9:45 and then it is a 17 mile drive home or so.   I came home got a few things ready for today, clothes and lunches.  Then I read until I could fall asleep.   Actually now that I think of it...I might not be home by 8:30 tonight...my last home visit is at 7:00.   It will be a longer day than 12 hours.

Hubby slept like a log last night. Tommy fell out if his bed and I had to get up and lay down with him.   But we all survived and today is another day.   Time to hit the shower and get to work.   have a great day!

  • just finished my supper break......

I have to work late, which means I couldn't go to Erik's concert.  I was upset about that, but I have some looming deadlines at work and it can't be helped.  I reminded my hubby so he should be going with Tommy hopefully.

I have 4 more reports to write before I can head home......later!

  • Happy MONDAY!!   I was really worried about weighing in at Weight Watchers today since I haven't really been doing the program very well this last two weeks.   But I was happy that I lost jsut under 1 pound this week.  It seems to be coming off so slowly, but at least it is coming off.   I hope to do better this week and exercise more.   I have one more week of Weight Watchers than I need to resign up.  I decided today that I will sign up and continue to do so until I make lifetime.   Many of my co-workers have already made lifetime.   I can do it too!!!

  • I woke up with really itchy eyes and stuffy nose this morning.  I hate allergy season.   I started a new allergy medication and I think it is messing with my sleeping.   I woke up just jittery at about 3:00am and went to the couch to sleep since I didn't want my tossing and turning to keep my hubby up.  He has been having such a hard time sleeping.   Alot on his mind.   Tommy actually went to his bed once I turned my light off after reading and stayed in his bed all night.   I can live with that!

Today is my 12 hour day at work.  I hope to get alot of paperwork done today.  Tomrorow I have alot of school observations so will be out of the office alot.   Hopefully I will get alot done!   Wednesday my bike will be done getting it's turn-up.  I can't wait to get out and ride it again.

I need to go fold a load of laundry and get ready for work.  Have a great day!!

  • Time to call it a night.......what a lovely day we have had.  Supper was wonderful, expensive, but wonderful.    It was a buffet, but with wonderful food.  I had a salmon with dill sauce and chutney that was fabulous.     After supper we came home and I spent the evening reading my book.    I am liking this book very much.   It is pretty good!

I hope you each had a wonderful Mother Day Weekend as well!!

  • Up from my nap.....Tommy is still sleeping so I am going to go outside with a soda and read for a bit.  Then we have to get ready for supper in Stillwater.   What a lovely Mother's Day.

  • Happy Mother's Day!!  Hubby let me sleep in this morning and he took care of Tommy.  Tommy was difficult to get to sleep last night.   Hubby was sound asleep before 10:00 and I was reading.   Tommy was reading with me....pointing to letters.   Then I turned out the light and he said "I am going to my bed now" and off he trotted.   Hubby starts snoring and I wake up again so I turn my light back on to read some more.   Tommy comes back in my room "You light is on".   So he stays with me until I turn it off again and then back to bed.  I start to fall asleep and I hear little feet and the bathroom light goes on.  I get up and Tommy was gone into the bathroom to check his hair at midnight!  ARGH!!  Finally we all get to sleep.  My little night owl!

The cheese strata is in the oven and should be ready in about an hour.   I got a beautiful card from my hubby for Mother's day.  He wrote just wonderful things in it....I cried.  He is so wonderful.  I also got a card for Amy, Josh's gf.....it was very sweet.   Tommy made me a picture frame and planted me a flower at school.   I sure love being a mom...I wish we were able to afford me to be home and be a full-time mom.  I would so love that.

I am off to read for a bit while brunch cooks.    Hope you are all enjoying for Mother's Day.   I know I am.....jsut got home from church....need to change Tom's clothes yet.  Later!

  • LOL...as I thought my older boys picked at their soup.  But they did eat their grilled cheese and ham sandwiches and dipped those in their soup.  They jsut didn't eat their vegetables.    After supper Josh and Erik were outside working on their catapult they were building.   They finished the model for it...LOL!!   They could catapult pennies with it.   It was a good project for them.

Hubby and I took Tommy for a walk.   Josh and Erik washed the dishes and now went to pick up Amy at work.   I am getting ready for bed.   I just mixed up a cheese strata for breakfast, which we will have after church with a fruit salad.   We are going out to supper around 5:00 in Stillwater.

Have a great evening...I am off to bed to read.
