  • WHew.....my weeding is done....I was getting so itchy I was glad to be done and jump into the shower.   Hubby is doing a bit more wedding and picking up pine cones with Tommy.   They are so funny...they are both in their PJ's doing yard work.  LOL!!   After my shower I went for a walk.  I am going to go do my hair and makeup and read until those two are done outside.  It is starting to warm up here....we will be heading to the library soon.    Good day to stay inside..................................................

  • MORNING EVERYONE!!  HAPPY WEEKEND!   Last night hubby and I stayed up until almost 1:00 watching the movie we rented.  It was called the Jacket....weird.  Not great or anything....but weird.    But I woke up at 7:00am and couldn't sleep so I decided to take advantage of being up.   I have had breakfast and started laundry.   I am going to throw on some clothes and go outside and weed my garden out front and the other side of the house.    It is suppose to be very hot today, so I thought I would get that out of the way this morning.  Than I can come in and shower and start my day.   Not sure what I have planned for today, but I should make a TO DO list as I would like to accomplsih alot, especially a nap this afternoon.  LOL!!

As much as I am enjoying the quiet of the morning.....I must go weed the gardens!   Later have a great morning!

    Enjoy your day!!!

  • Almost time to call it a night and I am first getting a chance to post.   Busy as always.  We actually slept in this morning, I didn't get up until a little after 8:00.  Tommy didn't get up until after 9:00.   While he was sleeping I paid bills and worked on our budget.   Then we headed off to daycare.   We stopped at a garage sale and I picked up a sand box for Tommy.

He just loves the sandbox.  He played out in the sandbox most of the evening.   Josh's friend Charlie even played with Tommy.    The sandbox has a lid so it will hopefully stay clean.

My morning was spent getting groceries.   I stayed within my budget....I went to two stores and spent 72.00 for groceries for the next week.   I came home put stuff away and made lunch for Erik.    Around 2:30 Erik's mom came to get him for the weekend and I decided it was a prefect time for a nap!!

After my nap we stopped at church  and then picked up Tommy at daycare.  We went to buy sand for his new sand box and then came home.   I tried two new recipes for supper tonight, but they weren't keepers.    I liked the Crockpot Turkey Loaf, but no one ealse did.  Oh Well.....win some ....lose some.

I guess it is time to call it a night.....Josh, Amy and Charlie are downstairs watching a movie.   Hubby is laying down with Tommy and I am ready to go to bed.  Hubby and I rented a movie, but not sure we will be able to watch it tonight or not.   I am hoping Tommy will sleep in his bed tonight.

Tomorrow is suppose to be very hot.   I cleaned out the wading pool tonight and have it filled with water getting warm for tomorrow.   Josh is going to his Dad's tomorrow so we should have a nice quiet weekend.

OH BTW....thanks for all the prayers and good wishes.  I made it to Duluth just fine!  I think my truck must actually be fixed.   I got to Duluth a little early and went for a walk around the pier.   Then I went to my meeting which actually lasted 2 hours.   I treated myself to lunch at my favorite restaurant, Little Angie's Canteena.  YUMMY!!  Then I drove home and boy was I tired.   I stopped at the outlet mall.  I bought the rest of Erik's school clothes.  I got a few things at Old Navy and a few at the Gap.    I finally found the black t-shirt for Josh's senior pics at the Gap.   Now I think all we have left are to buy school supplies.  I have a bin of pants for Erik to try on yet, but I think he will ahve enough for school.

    Have a great weekend!!!!!!

  • Just a quick entry since I have a very busy morning.   I have to get Erik and Tommy up and out the door.   At 9:00 I havea chiro appointment and then I need to be on the road to Duluth by 9:30 for work.  So I am off an running......have a great day!!!   Say a little prayer for me that my truck is really fixed and stays running on the 302 miles round trip to Duluth today!    I am a bit nervous!

  • My work day is finally over......I am heading home to my family!  YEAH!

  • Hey everyone....just taking a little break.   I just came back from my walk.  I didn't walk as far as usual as my chest is a little tight and my breathing isn't the best.  Sure helps to break up the evenings of working here alone to go outside for a bit!   I am having my supper which is a Weight Watchers Smart Ones Pepperoni Pizza....I have never had them before, it is yummy!   And chasing it with my ever present Dt MT Dew.

Just called hubby to confess I was a bad wife again and forgot to lay out meat to thaw last night.  I was so tired when I came home last night that I went straight to bed.   ARGH!!  I always try to have supper all ready for him in the fridge when I work late.  He doesn't like to come home from work and try and feed 3 hungry kids after working all day.   Tomorrow I am going to try to remember to put supper in the crockpot before I go to Duluth for work.   6 hours of driving for a meeting that will probably only last an hour max!  ARGH!     I checked on Erik and the cavities he had filled were very small, he didn't even need novacane.   So he is fine.   Next week Tuesday he is getting his braces on!

The rest of this week will be easy for me....tomorrow I go to Duluth, that is my 8 hours of work and Friday I am off.   NExt week doesn't look too bad either.  Monday I have weight watchers and work late.  Tuesday I am off as I am taking Erik to get his braces on.   Wednesday I work late, but have a couple of homevisits to break up my day.   Thursday I have a quiet office day and book group in the evening.  I will probably still go to book group even though I stopped reading the book.  OOPS.   And Friday I have a couple of homevisits as well.   AAAAH......gotta love it when there is a lull in the madness.  My job gets very hectic in the months of September, October, November and December again...so I am enjoying the managable work load right now.   Unfortunately I usually end up getting sick during that time.  At Christmas I take a few weeks off to recooperate and start the new year!

I just got my Light & Tasty Magazine in the mail last night.  I hope to try a couple of new recipes from there in the next weeks.  DOn't worry I will share if they are any good.

Well I am off to clear a few things off my TO DO LIST.....have a great evening!!!!!!!!

  • MOMMIE'S BRAGGING MOMENT....

My baby at age 3 can write and spell his name independently.  Yeah Tommy!!  I am not sure what he will do for the next two years of preschool.  He is learning so quickly.   I wish he wasn't a late birthday and could start kindergarten earlier.

Also Tommy is potty trained.   He only wears pull-ups at night time but wakes up dry almost every night.   I just don't want him to have an accident in my bed in the night-time!

Yeah Tommy....we are so proud of you!   You are a smart little cookie!  I have a feeling you will keep us on our toes.

Grandma - we will scan and post his recent drawings and writing of his name this weekend!  Gotta see if I saved the picture he calls "my big head daddy".  LOL!!!

  • Morning.....Tommy is still sleeping so I am going to have to wake him soon so I can get to work.  He slept in our bed until about 1:30AM than I woke up and put him back in his bed and he stayed there all night.  YEAH!

Freezer cooking was fun last night.   I have 5 marinades and three sides.  I am going to give some of them to a woman I know that just had a baby.    Always nice to have some meals after returning from the hospital.  Tommy and I went to bed shortly after I got home.

Josh had a friend sleep over, but they were very quiet.   Except they ordered pizza at like 10:30 at night.   I heard the front door open so I got up.  Once we go to bed we always have the boys be in the house, so the door opening always wakes me up.

Today I am working 12 hours.....and tomorrow I am heading to Duluth for a meeting and Friday I am off.  Once Erik's mom picks him up Hubby and I will have a few hours of quiet before we have to pick up Tommy.    I had one appointment today, but they cancelled on me late yesterday afternoon.   Hubby is getting off work a little early today and taking Erik to the dentist.  He has to have two cavities filled.  Next week he will get his braces on.  So today I will catch up on paper work.   I have 3 reports to update. It will be a boring day, but I should be able to get two walks in.

I should call the middle school and see if they plan on meeting with us to review Erik's IEP before school starts since he is new to the district.  Hmm......I might give them another week or so.   My kids start school Sept 1st and it is quickly approaching.   I think I have forms to complete for Tom's preschool too....things to do.   I need to organize the info on the school etc and update our phone list.   That is what the month of August is for....organizing and getting ready for school.

Oh Yeah.....we finally got our Harry Potter book in the mail yesterday.   Josh has read them all, but I can't get Erik interested in them at all.  Oh well....Erik has asked that I read to him again.  So we will probably start that when school starts depending on how much homework he has.  We have to fit alot into our evenings with me working full-time and having three kids and hubby to care for!

      Later!!!  have a great day!

  • Back from my afternoon walk now I am off to complete some home visits.   It is suppose to get real hot again starting Wednesday so I have to get my walks in here at work when I can.    I am really beginning to enjoy my walks.....go figure me enjoying physical activity.  YIKES!!  What is becoming of me!

  • Busy morning......I had a hard time getting up of course.  But I got up, got ready and took Tommy to daycare.  Then I returned home and got Erik up. had him shower, etc...and I folded two loads of laundry.  Then I took Erik to the ortho to get his separators on as the first steps of his braces.   It was a quick appointment and he did great.  Then he and I stopped at Zappa's to buy him a White Bear Sweatshirt and T-shirt.   He wanted them for school since he is switching schools...so now he is officially a White Bear guy.  Can't be official until you have a hoodie for your new school.   He was very happy.

Today Josh, Erik and Charlie are working on the tree house.   They had the roof almost done when I dropped Erik off.  Erik is very happy hanging out with Josh and Charlie.   I must say, this summer has been going great.  Erik is very happy and his behavior has been very good.   I am very proud of Erik.  It has been a very enjoyable summer so far!

Tonight I have a cooking session at church from 7-9 so I will be getting home late again.  I am going to take all the food I make tonight to a new mom that had a baby from our church.

Back to work....Later!  Enjoy your day!!
