Month: October 2005

  • Hello -  HAPPY FRIDAY!!!   I am very happy it is Friday and a low kid weekend.   Hopefully we have a quiet weekend and accomplish alot in striaghtening up the house.

YESTERDAY -   I came home from work early.   I was able to get things cleaned up a bit and did some laundry.  The boys and I did our weekly chores.  I had the batrhooms so I really cleaned them well.  I like that the boys do the chores, but they don't really clean to my level of satisfaction.  So when it is my turn to do a chore I do it very well.   It felt good to have the upstairs bathroom cleaned well!

I made Taco Chili for supper.  It was good.  The boys actually liked it.   Josh then went to work from 5:30 to 9:30.   Erik of course spent the entire evening working on homework.  We watched my neice Kristen and she styed over until around 8:00 I think it was.  Tommy and she played pretty well.   Once she left Tommy took a bath and we went to bed.  He was really tired and fell alseep right away.   Hubby moved him to his bed so I could read for a bit.

TODAY - This morning I paid bills and updated the budget already.  Today I am working and then getting groceries on the way home from work.  I need to stop at Aldi for most of our groceries.  Then I will need to go to Cub since they have Chicken Breast on sale for a good price.  I will stock up a bit.   I plan on cooking up some meat for future meals  this weekend.   I also need to stop at Target to get some pop for myself.

I should get going and get ready for work.

    SUPPER:  Peppy Pizza Pasta

  • Hello....starting this day out has been a little crazy!   I am really good about as soon as I get info from the kids school I put it into my calendar.  Well I get to preschool this morning and I realize it is the Harvest Party.  OOPS....the calendar said it was next week.   So I run home for the napkins I was to bring (good thing I buy things way in advance) and Tommy's comstume.  Of course Tom was freked out by the costumes and didn't want to stay in the classroom.  I couldn't stay with him that long today since I had unit meeting at work at 10:00.  ARGH.....so I left the classroom and he was screaming,  I felt so bad!

Now I am at work and heading into unit meeting.

    YESTERDAY

We had a lovely time at church.   I sort of got to spend time with hubby.  Tommy wouldn't separate so I had him in our alpha class with us and small group all night.  He was good.   He jsut sat on my lap.  I hope he will get over this soon.  We came home and hubby finished homework with Erik and I layed down with Tommy for the night.   Once he was asleep hubby put him back into his bed.   In the middle of the night Tommy got back into bed with us, but I took him back to his room since he was kicking me in my back so badly.  My back so so sore yesterday.

    TODAY

I am working until unit meeting is done then I am going home to cook, clean and do laundry.  We have had nothing but parties, parties and the house needs some serious attention.  I dont' want to spend my weekend doing it.   This evening I will work on a few reports and get a few work hours in before bed.   I want to be home to make a nice supper for my family.

    SUPPER:  Taco Chili and Biscuits

Gotta get to my meeting!   Have a Great Day!

  • I am heading home for the day from work.  Yep, going home before dark. WOW!!   I have a chiro appointment at 4:00 and then church.   I really miss my hubby today since I haven't seen him.  On Moday and Tuesday I just got home in time to collapse into bed.  ARGH!! So it is will be so nice to have supper and bible study with him tonight.   I enjoy my time with him very much.

  • Wednesday.....Ooops...I guess a day got away from me.   I am always so busy the beginning of the week since I work late, etc.

    YESTERDAY - TUESDAY

In the morning I took Tommy to school and stayed at the preschool for his little birthday celebration.

Then I headed to work.  I did homevisits with three clients and then headed to book group.  Book Group was alot of fun.   The author of the book was there too and she was really cool.  The ghost still are in her house, but she is at peace with them.   We had some great disucssions until late.   I made it home after 10:30.   I love book group!

    TODAY

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TOMMY!!!    I can't believe my baby is 4 years old today!  Actually at this time 4 years ago I was sleeping.   I had gone into the hospital the day before and started to be induced.  They gave me some heavy drugs to sleep through the night and I didn't wake up until about 9:00am.   I gave birth to Tommy at around 4:00.   I have all my children naturally without epidruals or meds.   I have never been comfortable with spianls and always refused them.

Tommy the day he was born......His Daddy was so excited for him!   We both just cried.

    Happy Birthday Baby!!

Today - Tommy is having a party at daycare for his birthday.  Tonight we have church and before church I need to go to the chiropractor.   I better get going.  Have a great day!

  • Have to share my good news...

Weight Watchers Weigh In - Lost 2 pounds this week!  YEAH!! ( haven't had consistent loss for a while)

Chanting to Self -  I must stay on Program.....I must stay on Program....TRACK, TRACK, TRACK, TRACK!!  I can do this!

    11 more pounds to GOAL!

  • I can't believe October is almost done.    I called for appointments for everyone today.

    Me - Dr and Dentist
    Tommy - 4 year check-up and Dentist
    Josh - Dentist
    Hubby - Dentist

Those are all made so I think I have all my family appointments on my calendar for the rest of the year.  Now I need to fit in work stuff around it all.  What a juggling act this can be!

Ooops...I have to call my allergist to check in .... I am a week late on that one.  I better go do that!

Hubby is checking into the daycare at his work today.   My SIL might stop doing daycare and we need a back up plan for Tommy.  I am ok with this since he is older.   I hope she stays doing this until he is in school, but if not the center at the college will be ok.  I am not willing to put him into a home daycare.  I don't want him in that small of a setting with someone I don't know.   I have been very picky with both of my boys about who cares for them.   Luckily for me, my hubby feels the same way.  We believe the frst 5 years of a child's life is the most important.   Early childhood education makes all the difference in the world.  You can really see the difference with Josh and Tommy.   Josh was cared by my mom and a family friend until he was almost 2.  Tommy was at home with his daddy until he was over 1.  Than he has only been cared for by my SIL who is fabulous!  She does a ton of early childhood activities with him and follows a schedule for his day.   Those are both so important to me.  Of course center based daycare will be alot more expensive, but we aren't willing to ever skimp on our childrens care and education.

  • MONDAY.....wow did the weekend flew by.  It always does when your so busy.   And with all the birthday parties we were very busy.

    YESTERDAY

My parents went to church with us.  Erik had slept over at a friends house so he was VERY tired in church.   After church my parents took us out for lunch.  I was so happy for that as I was so tired, I couldn't have made something.    We came back and visited for a bit and got Erik going on homework.   FUn...FUn...Fun.....

Then I tried to take a nap with Tommy.   I never did fall asleep as the phone kept ringing.  I rested on the heating pad (back was hurting) and read my book for a while.    Then Hubby and I did laundry most of the late afternoon and evening.   I have plenty to put away this morning before going to work.    I hope to switch the laundry around before I leave for work as well.   I need to stay on top of it so I don't have a ton to do next weekend.   I want to really do nothing next weekend!

We headed to bed around 9:30 and read a few Halloween books.  Tommy had a great time!

    TODAY

Monday....back to work.   I was actually up early this morning thinking I was late for work....OOOOPS!    So I have time to type before I go to work.   I have to work late tonight so I won't be home until after 7:00.   I hope to get alot of things accomplished at work.  I have weight in at Weight Watchers....Hm....sure ate alot on Saturday so I hope to have just maintained.

  • Well the plans for the birthday party are going well.  Most everything is done excpet for cleaning.   I am one of those goofy moms that love halloween and dressing up with the kids.   So tomorrow Tommy and I will both dressing up like pirates.  LOL!!  He made me put my costume on tonight and wanted me to wear it all night.  I am not *that fun of a mom.   LOL!!   For Halloween he is going to be Shrek and I will be Fionna.   So we have our costumes all ready to go.    I will post pictures from the party tomorrow!  Stay tuned!!

  • Morning....I turned off the alarm this morning and slept in a bit.  AAAAH...is that nice.  I am starting to come down with a cold so the rest was needed.

    YESTERDAY

I got home from work at about 9:00.  It was a long day.  But I completed another budget with a family.  I hope to type it up today as I need to work 2 hours to have my 40 in this week yet.  I might wait and do it on Sunday.

Josh was at orientation for his new job when I got home.   He asked to have 12 to 15 hours a week. They said they could do that.   I hope so as he needs consistent hours to pay his bills.   When he got home he helped me make little flags for the cupcakes.  We cut Skull Caps and made a CD of Pirate Music.  He is a good boy!

Hubby printed out the Game "Pin the Patch on The Pirate!"  It turned out great.   Then it was time for bed!

    TODAY

I turned off my alarm and I slept until after 9:00.  WOW!!  That was nice.   I needed it  to prepare for this weekend.  Today I am dropping off Tommy at Daycare and they buying cupcakes and root bear from Sam's Club.  I need to finish the rest of the games for the pirate party and clean the house up a bit.

I need to pay bills and make my shopping/grocery list for next week.   Plenty to do!  I hope to make both the boys to help out today.
