Month: October 2005

  • Good News -  Josh has orientation tonight at Express for a new job.  Hopefully they will supply him with enough hours to pay his bills and save a bit towards college.   One issue resolved, a couple more to address yet.   Debating how I will handle those other issues.

  • Good Morning.......

    YESTERDAY

It was a pretty good day.  I got a bit of work done and Erik did a fair amount of homework.   Hubby and I had church in the evening.  Josh and his friends watched the younger boys for us.   I ended up kicking the teens out at about 11:30 and I was not so happy with them.   I had a long conversation with Josh when he returned so didn't get to bed until after midnight.   I don't think our discussion is over yet.....I expect my rules and expectations to be followed and I am feeling like they are going by the wayside once again.   So we need to review what I expect again.

    TODAY

Working of course.   I have some expectations as to what Josh will be doing today.  I hope he is successful or he will deal with an unhappy momma.   Erik and Tommy will be going to my SIL's for the day.   Tommy seems to be feeling better.

I have to work tonight until late.  My last appointment is at 6:30 this evening.   I shouldn't have to work much on Friday so I can get busy on preparing for Tommy's birthday party.

SUPPER:  Hubby's Choice...) he cooks as I work late.

    TOMORROW

I only have to work 3 hours on Friday so I might do that from home and work on getting things done for Tommy's Birthday Party.   I can't believe my baby is going to be 4!   My parents are coming from out of state for his party.  My brother might be coming with them as well.   We will see.   Of course all our family from around here will be coming.   So we are having a little party with 7 kids at 2:00 on Saturday and then about 30 or so family members are coming over att 4:00 to celebrate with Tommy.  It will be a long day!

I thought this book would be a comedy.  It wasn't it was more of a commentary on the current role of wives etc.

Next Up:   The Pact - Jodi Picoult

  • All is quiet at my home believe it or not!   I have Tommy down for a nap and Erik is working on homework.   Josh went to the mall with friends, but will be home by 5:30 to babysit so we can go to church.   There is no confirmation this week due to MEA.   But hubby and I still have church.

So far today has been going pretty good.   We picked up the house this morning and the boys did their chores.    I ran to the post office and mailed some things I have been procrastinating about.  Now that Tommy is asleep I will have to get my work laptop out and get some work done.   Hope everyone has a great day!!!

  • OH my.....what a night!    I got home from work around 6:30 and we had to be at church at 7:00 for a financial planning meeting regarding retirement, etc.  We got home around 8:30 and Tommy came upstairs crying that his ear hurt.   YIKES!!!   A few years ago I nearly ruptured his ear drum by not taking him immediately when he complained.   So now he says his ear hurt we go to the Dr.   I called Urgent care and we get their last appointment at 9:15.   yep.....double ear infection.   I drop off Tommy with Daddy and head to Walgreen's to pick up medications.    WHEW.....I just got home from getting his medicine and now we are headding to bed.

Tomorrow will not be going as planned.  I am still going to plan on working at home.   But now in addition to having Erik with me, I also have Tommy home with me while I am trying to work.   Should prove to be interesting.

Time for bed....have a great night!

  • It is 5:45 and I was going to leave work early today at 1:00 since I didn't feel that great....hmmmm...I never seem to be able to get out of here at a decent time!  Oh well...I did get a lot of stuff done today even though I feel ill.  Off to home...Later days!

  • Hello...It is a lovely fall day here in Minnesota.  Of course I am not feeling great...GRRRR

    YESTERDAY

I worked until late.   I left the office around 9:00.   During the day I ran some errand over my break.   I bought some pants for work.  The best part was I bought a smaller size!  YEAH BABY!  I was able to buy a single digit size.  YES!  I was so happy!   I bought hubby one pair of jeans as well.   I also bought stuff for Tommy's Pirate birthday party.   I sure hope I feel better this weekend.   It is going to be a lot of fun.   He is excite.  He was walking around talking like a pirate last night.

Last night hubby had at the kids all evening alone.  And yes, Michelle, Hubby's choice does mean he has to cook the meal too!    He and Erik had to redo Erik's entire code of arms assignment.   Erik put a lot of work into it and did a pretty good job.  Erik had to get up early this morning to finish his other homework.  Hubby had his hands full last night.  I came home and went right to bed.  I was not feeling well.  I got sick twice, which freaked Tommy out.  He kept coming into the bathroom.    I am not 100% today, but have to go to work for a bit and infect everyone I guess.

    TODAY

Tommy is at school.  He went on his field trip to the apple orchard today.   He also got his pictures back from school.  They looked really nice.  I will scan them later.   I am going to go to work for a bit and do a few things I have to get done and then I will bring my laptop home to work from home.   Tonight hubby wants me to go to a retirement planning seminar at church with him.   I really didn't want to go, but will probably.

Well I am off to work...Have a great Day!

  • Good Morning....

    YESTERDAY

Sunday - we went to church.  Tommy has been having trouble staying in his classroom so I went with him.  They go downstairs for music and he said he was scared of that so I went with him.   I missed over 1/2 of the service, but he did stay in Sunday School.  Hopefully each week will get better.    Then we came home and I made scrambled eggs and oatmeal for brunch.   After our brunch, Tommy and I took a nice long nap.  AAAAH.....

After nap I got up and went through all my clothes.  I took two bags of stuff to Goodwill.  I  got rid of alot of summer clothes.  I am still looking for a pair of black boots to wear with skirts.   I found a pair at Goodwill, but not my size   I found some at Marshall's but 99.99 was too much.   I will continue to look around and see what I find.   I did see a cute purse at Target I am going to pick up today that is on sale for $12.99.  That is within my fun money budget.    I need to buy about 4 pairs of dress pants for work.  I will probably get those at Kohl's.  They didn't have my size in stock last week.

I almost finished my book last night.  I was able to get alot of reading in this weekend.  Gotta love that!

    TODAY

Work....I will work until late.   I have one homevisit this morning with a public health nurse as well.  Then I have weigh in at Weight Watchers and I think I have lost a bit of weight.  Any little bit will be appreciated!    I did pretty good all weekend, except for the cookies hubby made.

    SUPPER:  Hubby's Choice

TOMORROW - Work and Hubby signed us up for a seminar at church on saving for retirement.   So I will probably go to that with him.   Not much else planned so far.

I am off to curl my hair and get to work....Have a great day!

  • AAAAHH....it is so quiet here.  The teens (Josh, Amy and Charlie) are downstairs watching a movie.   Charlie is spending the night.    Tommy is in the tub playing....hubby is working on the church website.    The TV has been off most of the day....I love that!  I enjoy the quiet so much.     I have taken it fairly easy today.  I did a couple of loads of laundry, ran errands, made baptism lambs for church, wrote a letter to my sister and browned 5 pounds of hamburger.    I did read for about an hour over naptime and am heading to read again for about an hour before bed time.    I have to run and switch laundry around one more time though.

Tomorrow I hope to go through my clothes and get my summer things put away.   I worked on Erik's clothes a bit on Friday and will need to finish that tomorrow as well.   I dislike the changing of seasons and switching clothes around.   I am sure I will find plenty to donate as well.

    Have a great evening....
