    Information

Unhappiness in relationships, according to Dr. Gary Chapman, is often due to the fact that we speak different love languages. Sometimes we don't understand our partner's requirements, or even our own. We all have a "love tank" that needs to be filled in order for us to express love to others, but there are different means by which our tank can be filled, and there are different ways that we can express love to others.

  • Hey everyone.....the weekend is here!!  YEAH!!  I am just finishing up my day at work and getting ready to head home.   Life has been extremely busy!

WEDNESDAY - I did not work on Wednesday, but still was able to get 40 hours in for the week.  Go figure!   Wednesday I took care of some things around the house.community.  I finally got my back x-ray done.  I will see in a while if I indeed have a fractured back, which will change the treatment for my osteoporosis.  I also took my van to get the oil changed.  Luckily they said everything looks great!  YEAH!   I also went to Sam's  and got groceries.  Groceries went well,  I bought for over a weeks worth of meals and only spent $55.00.  That was really good.   I will not get groceries now until next week Sat or Sunday.   I normally do it on Wed, but Tommy has a birthday party to go to instead.

Erik exhibited some poor choices and behavior at school so most of Wednesday night was spent talking about that.  Never a dull moment on that front!

THURSDAY - got an email from the school detailing more behaviors regarding Erik that we weren't aware of.  Hmmm.....that boy is sure losing out on alot of stuff by doing this.  It really is too bad.  We had a huge meeting at work Thursday morning regarding a $1 million dollar billing discrepancy with the state.  We have to fix the errors in documentation practices for the last 5 years.  This is a HUGE project.  Oh my......What a stressful meeting!   I will be working alot of extra hours on this project.  We must have everything corrected by April 15th...but I am going on vacation the end of March..sorry!

After the meeting we were all stressed and went out to a lovely lunch at Ziggy's.  Just what the Dr Ordered!   Then I was back at the office to work until the presentation I had to participate in.  The presentation went ok...I spoke WAY WAY too fast as they didn't set the timer for me and when I looked down it said 0 so I went...Drats...I better hurry up!  OOPS!!

FRIDAY -  Well right now I am still at work.  I just finished up working with my sup and co-worker on some language to make our documentation easier.   It was a great relief to have some of that done!   Erik was suppose to go to an event at church tonight, but hubby said he couldn't.  I have really been staying out of hubby's discipline of Erik.  I refer all decisions to my hubby.  Granted I might not agree with all his decisions, but I abide by them all the same.

WEEKEND - nothing much planned for the weekend.  I will be going to a cooking session at church on Sunday, but that is all that is planned.   I really need to get caught up on laundry.

  • Nearly 10:00pm....I guess it is time to head home!  Hmmm....I wonder how many children my hubby will have managed to get in bed by the time I get home??    Later!!  Have a great night.

  • Just finished writing the court report I have been dreading....now to work a bit more or to head home....hmmm.....

OOPS...I have a Medical Assistance reprot due tomorrow...I better do that then go home!   LATER!

Tomorrow is my working from home day for a few hours only!   I hope it is productive!  After errands, groceries and all that junk!

  • Back Again.....

Just got back to the office from my 3:30 meeting.  YIkes...that was a bit of a long meeting.  It was a pretty good meeting.  I am now waiting for my WW meal to cook and then I will eat a bit and get some paperwork done.   I did got a chance to stop at Radio Shake before getting to the office.  I got a splitter so both Tommy and I can have a separate pair of headphones on my MP3 Player.  We will have to try that out tonight when I get home.

I just called home and checked in with hubby.   He is trying to get supper on the table for all 6 kids...LOL!!  I am sure Tuesday nights is not his favorite night for me to work late.  LOL!  We have his sisters kids on Tuesdays too.  Well I should say he does!  By the time I get home they will be gone.

I am off to get my supper and eat.  Have a great evening!  I am sure I will check in again before heading home.  IT is so very very quiet here...I think I am the only social worker on the floor tonight.  Oh well.....that is usually the case!

  • Taking a moment to BREATHE.............

Deep breaths..... I am so overwhelmed at work, you would not believe it.  And a few more new cases in the last few days.  ARGH....and new families that need alot of assistance.   So I am sitting here trying to breathe before running to my next appointment in Lakeville.  Then I will have to figure out which fire to put out when I get back to the office.  My calendar is full, full, full.  I need to appear in court this month, but hoping that pick the one Wednesday I actually have nothing going on.   But of course court will need to be a priority.   I will need to be working late tonight.  At least until I get my court reports done and a dent into this weeks paperwork.   Thursday I am presenting at a workshop in Rosemount for an autism group I think it is....I have not prepared at all!  Do you think the 100 people there will feel cheated if I stand in front of them and just stare at them, unable to put a sentence together?   I suppose I better get something together tonight for that too!

Tomorrow is my day at home!   I have plenty to do, get groceries, finally get my back x-ray done, complete mission trip pw and payment to church and have the oil changed on my van.

Thursday morning - take Tommy to preschool and attend unit mtg in the AM.  Presentation in Rosemount in the evening.

Friday- Staffing in the morning and major IEP meeting at noon.  Erik is gone at an activity on Friday night at church so I will probably try and be home to spend time with hubby and Tom.

BABY STEP....BABYSTEP.......I eat when I am stressed...the candy bowl is my friend today!  I need to stop that or I won't lose my last 6 pounds!

Well I am off and running....................Later!

  • Hello everyone.....how you all had a great weekend.  Ours was ok....pretty laid back for me, but hubby was busy with his things.  Friday we went to Lakeshore Learning to purchase some things for NI magnuson to donate to the school.   Hubby wanted to grab taco Johns' so he and Tommy had that for supper.

SATURDAY - hubby spent alot of the morning on the phone.  We finally went to the library and did our things.   The rest of the afternoon we were home.   Tommy took a huge nap and I got a few things done around the house.  I even got a few books on tape ready for my MP3 player.    I need to get some children's book on tapes since Tommy now is liking to listen to it with me while in bed.   If it will help him to settle down to sleep I am fine with it.  I take one ear piece and he the other and we snuggle together.

SUNDAY - I woke up really feeling poorly so I went back to bed.   Sunday was a pretty lazy day for us.  Tommy had a friend come over and play and stay for supper.  JOsh and Amy were celebrating their anniversary and went to a movie and out to supper.

MONDAY - stopped at the library and got a few books on tape for Tommy.  Something called Geronimo Stilton, Junie B Jones and Hank the Cow Dog.  I am going to find some Magic Tree House ones as well.  I think these will come in handy on the plane and in the hotel in florida.  I should be able to fit alot of his books on my MP3 player.

Beed very busy today....homevisit in the am and another client came into the office to meet with him.  Tonight I have a meeting at church and then will be home for bed early!  YEAH!!

Today was weigh in day.....I had a lost and only have 6 pounds to go to goal!!!!  Lifetime feels like it is within reach!!  At least I have hit single digits!

    Later!!

  • Back To Work....

MY back is really hurting today....YIKES!!!  Luckily I am only working a normal day.

YESTERDAY - my appointment with the gastroenterologist went fine.  He wanted to do another test and I don't really see the reason as being that important so I said no, unless my pulmologist requires it.  Enough already people!  I did the EGD, that is enough.  I continue on my stomanch meds as ordered.  Easy enough...and I don't have to see him again unless my pulmologist orders the other test.

Then home ao lay down as my back is really hurting alot!  I laid on the heating pad and watched part of Dr Phil and Oprah.   When hubby came home the phone calls started.  A couple of the boys on the street have been bullying another child and it was a big blow out.  Hubby had a discussion with both the boys and then the calls from their parents started.  A good three hours worth....argh.....

I quickly made my menu/shoppping list.   We then ran quickly to Cub and got the last of the groceries and came home and went to bed.

TODAY - Hubby has a Dr appointment and I told him he needed to go on his own.   Erik doesn't have school so he is at my SIL's with Tommy.   Not much else exciting going on.  Really looking forward ot the weekend and resting up a bit.  I can't wait until these withdrawal syptoms are gone!!!

  • Tommy's Conferences...

Tommy is doing great.  He is ready for Kindergarten the teachers says...LOL!!  Well he has another year of preschool before he is old enough to go to Kindergarten.  We are so happy with what two years of preschool has given him.  Those early childhood years are the most crucial in a child development.  Skimp on those and it will affect them forever.    So he will have the same teacher for preschool next year and she will be focusing on more kindergarten skills with them.

I asked her if she had been working on counting backwards.  She said no....so I am not sure where he got that from.  She said he is just very observant.   Miss Rene has been a great teacher for Tommy, we are so glad she will have him next year.

A couple of things we will be working on in the next year.  He needs to zip his coat.  I have been doing it for him...ooops!!   He needs to write his last name too.  He can but doesn't always.  He gets a couple of the teens mixed up when IDing numbers.

Gotta love a great conference like that!  It sure makes my hubby happy.  Well I am off to my last Dr appointment of the day.  Later!
