  • A Fun Filled Saturday....

Good Morning....I am up and ready for our busy day.  Hubby and Tommy are already at the soccer game.  I am going to be heading out in a couple of minutes to work at the bike-a-thon for LADC and Tommy's school.   Afterwards we are heading out to buy Josh a bed.  He has been sleeping on the couch since he can't get up off the floor in his room.  He is current just sleeping on a matteress on the floor.  So we are going to IKEA today.  I have never been there, but we saw a nice bed in their catalog at a very reasonable price.

    More Later....off to church!

  • SUNDAY....

Hubby took the younger boys to church on Sunday and I stayed home with Josh.  Once Josh woke up he started vomiting.  Since the discharge papers said to call if he vomited, I called the surgeons office.  The on-call Dr said to stop taking the pain meds and have only a diet of fluid.   Josh had a terrible headache so he rest and had ice on his head.   Later afternoon I made him some cup of soup.  He didn't keep that down either so I called back to the Dr, hoping they could give him something to stop the vomiting.   Well....instead, back to the ER!

We were at the ER for about 4 hours or so.   They gave him 2 liters of IV fluids, gave him meds to stop the vomiting and took an Xray of his stomach.   He has some post operative complications and hopefully will be feeling better in a day or two.   We got home from the ER in time for me to put Tommy to bed.

I am home today with Josh........hoping he will be feeling better soon so I can return to work.  Josh is still sleeping.  I tried to wake him to take his meds....he wasn't the happiest of children!   So I think I will go down stairs and do some laundry.  Then I will clean in our bedrooms while Josh sleeps some more.

  • Saturday....

Josh came home from the hospital this morning.   I got him into the house and straight to the shower.   Then we got him positioned on the couch upstairs here so we can assist in getting him up.   He is able to walk much better once we get him up.

I am glad to have him home.   His friend Kyle is over and they are playing xbox in the living room.  Kyle brought his over for them to play.   Emma and Amy also came over to visit.

Tommy had a soccer game this morning and his team played against his best friend Cooper's team.   Erik is napping right now, not sure what is up with that.  He finally decided what he wanted to do for his birthday.  He wants to go to the Rainforest Cafe for supper.  So we will do that one weekend coming up when he is with us.   The weekend after his birthday he is with his Mom.

Supper is in the crockpot and laundry is going so I think I will go read until it is time for supper.

  • Change of Plans.....

Well I didn't go to the cabin with my girlfriends this weekend.   Yesterday morning my son Josh was in a lot of pain in the early morning so I took him to the hospital.   We were there all day all and finally at around 4:00 he went into surgery to have his appendix removed.    He was much better by evening.  I will be going to the hospital this morning to see if he will be discharged.   Hopefully he will be coming home this morning to recuperate!   Always the potential to have your plans changed when you have kids.  I am so glad I was still home when he got sick.

  • SATURDAY....

A beautiful day in Minnesota today.  I was up early and worked on our budget and paying bills.   Then Tommy had a soccer game.   He sure loves playing soccer.   My hubby was the fill in assistance coach as well.  Hubby will fill in again next week.  I will miss the game next weekend since I will be out of town.

After soccer we came home.  I finished paying bills, which included my recent speeding ticket!!  ARGH!!  I have not had a ticket in over 12 years.   I was so upset about that.   Well it is paid and all over.   Then we went to the library and returned out things.   Afterwards we came home and quickly ate and Tommy got ready to go to Cooper's birthday party!    Tommy had a great time at Coopers!   Next month is Tommy's birthday and we hope to have all his friends over for a party as well.

Hubby and I went to pick up Tommy after the party and then went to get groceries.  I stayed well within budget since I had so many meals to carry over from last week.   I spent about 137.00 for groceries for the next two weeks.  That even included some extra more processed food for when I am gone to the cabin next week.

Well I am off to read for a bit....have a great night!
