Month: July 2002

  • I did manage to get a bit motivated, must be guilt.   I cleaned in my bedroom.  I am almost done decluttering in there.  I have my closet and bin of clothes left to go through.  If I find time I think I will even go through my dresser.   We will see.   Either way I have our bedroom back looking pretty nice.  That is the one room that goes to pot quickly.  I hid everything I don't want the boys to get into in my room.  ARGH!!   Future B-day presents, etc.  I like to buy on clearance after xmas.

I have all of Tommy's b-day presents already, even the ones his grandma will be giving him.  I have to always buy the presents for her.  ARGH!!   I still have to find a present for Grandma to give to Erik, but I have Erik's all done.

Well I have a nice vanilla candle lite in my  bedroom.  Oh how inviting my room looks.  My hubby will be so happy, I even dusted! I started a bag to donate, I just hope my hubby doesn't look in it...LOL!  He hates to get rid of stuff.

Tommy is finally taking a nap for the day.  He has been alseep for a while, so I better scoot and work on the laundry somemore and do dishes before he wakes up.

Joshua and his friends went to Marketfest........so it is just me right now, maybe I should go lay in my room and read my book?????  Hmmmmmmmmmm..........not a bad idea.

  • Having a bit of a lazy day today.  I did do a bit of paperwork for work.  I have a terrible headache so I am just happy to have the baby napping right now.   I think I will go switch the laundry around and try to tidy up the kitchen and living room a bit.  I hate those days when I don't want to do anything............(forcing my butt from the computer chair).  Later!!

  •   Cheesey Stuffed Chicken Breasts

Just to let you know......... the cheesey chicken breast were very good.  Even my very picky niece, Kristen ate them!   They are definitely a recipe to save!  YUMMY!!

Well I am being kicked out of the computer room by my son.   Not like we don't have three computers!  KIDS!!!  but then again he is having a sleep over and thinks he rules the world................later!

Yes, Josh is reading this as I type................

  • WHAT'S FOR SUPPER????

I always like to hear what others are having for supper, since I run out of ideas all the time.  I  am in a slump right actually.   We are trying a new recipe tonight.

      Cheesey Stuffed Chicken Breasts
      6 boneless chicken breast halves
8 oz of whipped cream cheese w/ chives and onions
      1 Tb butter, cubed
      salt and pepper
      6 bacon strips
Flatten chicken to ½" thickness.  Spread 3 Tb cream cheese over each.
Dot with butter and sprinkle with salt and pepper; roll up.  Wrap each
with a bacon strip.  Place seam side down, in a greased 13x9 baking
dish.  Bake, uncovered, at 400 degrees for 35-40 min. or until juices run
clear.  Broil 6" from the heat for 5 min or until bacon is crisp.

  • Trying something new here...........................

    SUBMIT GUESSES

  • Morning...........so far my morning is going pretty smoothly.  I got up and messed around on the computer, about 15 mintues.  Then I got Tommy up since he was crying, yep, of course he was standing again.  I got him dressed and fed and we played a bit.  Then I started his movie (Baby Mozart) so I could take a shower.  I don't know what it is about that movie but he LOVES IT!  he has two movies that he will actually watch and you can take a shower or make supper.  The other one is BEE SMART BABY Vocabulary Builder, also set to Mozart music.

I still need to do my makeup and hair, but I have my shoes on. LOL!! So what would the Flylady say!   I have done 15 minutes of decluttering in my bedroom.  My bedroom, the office and basement are the rooms in my house that are always so cluttered.  So this week I am making sure to get my bedroom all straightened out.   I decluttered a nubmer of magazines and herbs.  I had all these different herbs I used when trying to conceive.  Don't need them anymore, they have done their trick...and we have Tommy.

MOMMOM2E&J  you asked what my tip is to clean my house in an hour....well go fast! LOL!!   Actually I do my cleaning according to the Flylady.net   I really find that by doing my morning and bedtime routine I really keep on top of stuff.  SO when I do my cleaning, there aren't a ton of toys and stuff to pick up.  I jsut have to scrub the floor, etc.  My son also helps.  He had to do empty all the waste baskets in the house and vacuum the steps.  I try to do the flylady little missions and stuff and sometimes I actually do the detailed cleaning for the zone.   If your not getting the flyaldy emails I reccomend it, since that was what got me organized.  BLAH.........BLAH.....Blah........ I sound like an infomercial.

I am off to do my hair and makeup and make peaches for the baby.  Tommy is napping so I only have about a 45 minutes till he wakes.  Later!

  • Moving Frenzy has begun at my work.  Everyone is packing the place up so it is hard to work, since you can't find anything.   It sure is an interesting time.   LOL!!   I will be working from home tomorrow, but might go in the office on Thursday just to make sure I have all my stuff packed correctly for the movers, etc.   And Mscaffeineaddict, I did declutter a lot in my office at work.  I do have two piles I never got to so I will move them and get them all filed in the new office.  I did throw a lot of stuff out, could throw more of course.  What do you expect I am only a flybaby.

Tonight I tried to do my weekly cleaning.  You know....vacuum, dust, mop, clean door and mirros, change sheets and garbage.  I got most of it done, except mopping floors and the sheets.  I do have the bed stripped, so I will HAVE to put new sheets on before bed.  Usually I can get all my cleaning done in one hour, but Tommy decided his evening nap would only be 30 minutes.  ARGH!!   So I will have to save the mopping for tomorrow sometime.

Well I am off to make my bed........I LOVE going to bed with fresh sheets.  What a great feeling..........so I think I will go cuddle up in them and read a bit.

Good night.......I think I will finish my drink and call it a night!

  • The move has begun at my place of employment.  This week will be chaotic since we are going to be packing up our offices to move to our new building.  I am actually close to being done, though I have a few piles of resource material I would like to go through before the move.  We will see if that happens.

I actually have an early morning meeting so I will need to make this quick.   Not much to tell ya about anyway, it is Monday..............

Tommy has decided to perform his new trick over and over and over again.  As I type this he starts crying, so I go in to check on him.  He is standing in his crib and can't get down.  Argh!   I am surprised he can get to the standing position, we have moved his mattress all the way to the lowest setting.  I assist him back down and tuck him in again.  Within 2 minutes, he is crying again..........yep you guessed it, standing and can't get down.  This could get old real fast.   He now has not cried for a bit so maybe he settled down and gone to sleep.   He is just too funny!!   I really have a feeling he will walk before he crawls.

I still have not made my menus.........it is so hit and miss right now.  I did manage to pay the bills tonight, that is good!   Baby steps....baby steps......

  • Ok...what did I accomplish this weekend.  A lot of relaxing!! LOL!!  I watched the entire first season of Sex and the City.  I am hooked!!  I did manage to get the office all straightened up.   I even got my hubby to go through the two boxes in here that i had been after him about.    He brought them up from downstairs over a month ago and jsut left them in the middle of the room.  GRRRRRRRRRR....I told him not to bring them up if he wasn't going to take care of them.   Well it took over a month, but they are  taken care of.

Hubby put up a gate on our steps for little Tommy.  We live in a split entry home so a gate is a very important safety item for our little one.   Oh...and Tommy pulled himself up at the coffee table tonight.  My little man is growing and growing.......

I told Joshua, about Grandma M. telling me that his bio father is expecting another child.  It is such a hard line to tow..........if I know and I don't tell him and he finds out, he will be mad.  I of course I told him, I try to be honest with him.   I have a hard time reading his feelings on the matter.  He wasn't excited, but I am not sure there was any emotion there.  He hardly knows his father, but I don't think he feels abandonded.  I am sorry that this is the way it is for him..........but he seems to be ok.   I just worry, I love him more than anything, ya know!  He is still my baby,  even if he is taller than me now.    I hope he understands that it isn't his fault.   you just want to protect your children from every single unpleasant thing in the world.  I just have to love him with all my heart and hope this all doesn't matter in the end.........and he grows up a wonderfully well adjusted young man.   But I worry...................

Well I am off to bed.................

  • I am nearly done with the office.  It is somewhat organized now, at least it looks better.  I could still do a number of 27 flings in this room!!

Tommy is still napping.  I am not sure what I will do next.  I think I will go watch another episode of Sex in the City.  YAWN!!!!!  I should do some paperwork for work, yet today sometime.  Hmmmmmmm........nah, another episode of Sex in the City first!  LOL!!  I got my priorities, ya know!
