  • OH I forgot to tell you all about Tommy's new phase......he is better about screaming when we leave the room, that seems to be almost gone.  Now, the new phase......................biting.  He gets excited and he will hug me and bite me in the shoulder.   ARGH!!  He actually has left amrks a few times.  I can't wait for this phase to end!

  • DO you ever get sucked into a movie that you have seen before???  Tonight I sit on the couch for a sec and hubby is watching the movie "SEVEN".  I have seen this movie a couple of time before and yes of course I sat there and watched it again.  The ending always gets me..............so disturbing.  So I stay up later than normal on a work night to watch a movie I have seen how many times before....GEEEZ!!!!  NIGHT!!!!!!!

  • PEEK A BOO!! Don't I have the greatest smile!

AAAHHH....and sometimes I am as sweet as can be!

Be prepared I just got a couple of rolls of film developed.

  • YAWN!!!!  Hubby is out still at a post block party bonfire/party.   He is just few houses down at a party.  I didn't go as I was taking care of the baby and I WILL NOT leave him sleeping and go that far away.  So I bathed Tommy and got him ready for bed and messed around on xanga a bit.

I hope hubby makes it home ok...LOL!!!   Well I am off to bed to get some sleep.  I have a feeling hubby won't be wanting to go to church in the morning.  LOL!!   I wonder how much beer is at this party!   I am not much of a drinker anymore.  I only had two hard lemonades today, otherwise I drank pop or water.

  • HIGHLIGHTS FROM OUR ANNUAL BLOCK PARTY!!!

The block party was a lot of fun as always.  The band was very good.   They are called Midnight Tea, their parents live two doors down from us.  As promised here are a few pictures from the party today.   I love that we can now get still pics from our video camera.

Midnight Tea!  So our block party had live music this year very cool!  Unfortunately they could only play for 2 hours.

Then there were the games.   We played the water balloon game, had gunney sack races and just played!

As always the trampoline was a BIG hit with EVERYONE.  Even a few adult neighbors.

We have the local fire department come every year for the little ones to see the truck up close.  Yep, that is me in front of the truch in the bib overalls talking to Alex holding his baby.

And of course there is the food.  All grills were a going.   Paul helped with the grilling.  It takes a lot of grills, food and help to keep this show on the road!   But it is so worth it!  Oh yeah, and don't forget the kegs of beer!

It is a wonderful party, and lucky for me it is right outside my front door.  That made it easy to lay Tommy down for his nap, etc.   it is also very good for our neighborhood.  I know almost everyone on my street by name, how great is that these days.  We have the older and younger families all come together and enjoy a lovely day together!

I am sure Paul and I will assist with some planning and setting up this party again next year.  It really wasn't that much work at all.

    Well until next year.....................

  • Today is our annual Block Party!!!

We even have live music this year!

     Pictures to follow of course!

  • Hello..........

I didn't sleep in this morning even with not setting an alarm.  Anyways since I was up so I decided to spend the time doing something I enjoy, so I redid my site.  How do you like my new summery look??  I was so sick of the flowers.  I surfed for a bit and found some nice graphics sites this morning so I have a few others that I can change to when I am sick of this.

Well Tommy is crying, time for my day to start.

  • Lazy. Lazy, Lazy Sunday..............

Well it is 3:32 here and I seem like I am just starting my day.   LOL!!   I was up at 9:00 and we went to church.  After Church we went to eat at Old Country Buffet, and I decided to take a nap.  I am finally waking from my nap so I better accomplish something today now.

I am off to make some pears for Tommy.  They are finally all ripe.   Tommy is taking a nap, Erik is outside and Josh is watching TV.  I am going to make Josh help make babyfood...LOL!!  He will be soooo happy about that.   Hubby needs to do homework most of today, so looks like I need to hold the homefront down alone today.

Other than that I really don't have much to accomplish today.  I will probably do a bit of laundry and straighten up the school corner.  Oh, yeah I really need to get out menu made! LOL!! I always dread doing that, but it is so helpful to have it done.  I am now making menu's everything three weeks since I hate doing it so!! LOL!!  Soon I will be making them for a year at a time..LOL!!!

Have a great Sunday and Relax!

  • Evening.........

Looks like I forgot to write to you all on Friday was fine.  Erik had sprained his ankle so he was layed up on the couch all day.  I decided to work from home.  I actually got a lot done.  I completed all my time reporting and updated my calendar and even got my mileage done.    I still have one ISP to update yet this weekend, but that is it.

Friday evening I spent cleaning up from the party last night.  pop cans 1/2 full all over the place.   The floors need to be scrubbed since there were spills everywhere, etc.

Saturday I slept in, I didn't get up until almost 9:00.  I have not slept in that long in a while.  Tommy even slept in as well.  When I got up we did a bit of cleaning.   I am doing the Flylady Detailed cleaning.  I got the front entryway cleaned very well.  I am contemplating painting the paneling in there, but not sure yet.  I washed the walls and floors, etc.  I took the chandler apart and cleaned all the panes.  I hope to finish up the major cleaning in the dining room tonight after Tommy finally decides to go to bed.

I also need to take some time and write a few more emails.  I have gotten terrible about keeping in touch with friends, etc.  I have about 7 emails I need to write.   I also typed up my responses to the questions for my book discussion last night only to have Yahoo eat them!  I am a bit unhappy with Yahoo lately!

Well the big boy is wanting to shot off the last of the fireworks.  I suppose I should go supervise.

  • Our festivities are coming to an end.  The last guest has left to return home.   It is nearly midnight and I am very tired.  We had about 13 people over for a small BBQ and fireworks lighting.   Of course we had burned fingers, and everything else.  That is one thing I hate about the 4th.

Erik tends to get into too big of a hurry and ends up burning himself or someone else.  He also fell and hurt his foot.  You can never tell if he is really hurt or not.  He does this melodramatic scream no matter the size of the pain.   You would think he had broken his foot off  with all the screaming he does, and in a few minutes he is fine.   Drives me nuts.............

Well I am off to bed, Tommy has been sleeping since 9:00 so hopefully he will sleep through the night again.   Paul and Josh are still out at the bonfire...........

    Night Xangaland.........
