Merry Christmas

From Our Family
To Yours

Morning! I woke up early and am steal some quiet time before everyone gets up. It is now 8:00 am but I don't expect either of my boys to be up for at least on hour. Josh was still up playing video games last night at 11:00 when Santa was trying to fill the stockings.
It has been such a nice relaxing Christmas. We went to church last night and then came home and had supper. After Supper we opened presents. We each take turns opening one at a time. Tommy was first and he even ripped some paper this time. His first gift was a real hit. It was a Bob the Builder Hammer that counts as you hammer. He would hit the head of it and smile. He also tried to hammer me in the head...LOL!! In the last few days he has been naughty with his other hammer. He went up to the kitties while they were sleeping on the chair and hammered them in the head. Argh...was Daddy ever mad at him. Tommy also received a Sparkling Symphony Orchestra.
Joshua opened his first box, a "Hoodie" (sweatshirt with a hood) and was very excited as that was what he asked for. He also received three books and Lego Mindstorm Robotics Invention System. He immediately went to work on programming and building a robot. I had to finally scoot him to bed at 10:30. I am glad he likes the gift.
Hubby and I exchange gifts, but we put real low price limits on the gift to see if we can get something meaningful for the cost. It was a lot of fun last year. I made a board game for hubby last year and he bought me a cool picture frame that he wrote a poem in.
This year we increased our spending limit to $30.00 and I was having a hard time being creative this year. I bought him a wallet and a book by Steven Hawkins. Hubby went to the bookstore and picked me out two books! I could just see him reading every book jacket trying to figure out what book I would like. I read a lot of books and he doesn't pay any attention to what I am reading. But he did very good! He said he read the cover and if it sounded like a movie we would like to watch together, he said it was a good book for me! ROFL!!! Knowing my hubby he read a lot of book descriptions!
Hubby ended up buying me Lovely Bones by Alice Sebold (which I was wanting to read) and Skipping Christmas by John Grisham. I look forward to reading them both! I find it so sweet that my hubby went to a bookstore (that alone is cool) and looked for the perfect books for me. He is a good guy!
I think I will take advantage of these quiet moments and make my to do list for the day and start my day.
TO DO:
Organize the Bottom shelf in the office
Start on the Boy's Room
Wash Dishes
Not much on the list today. I plan on just playing with the kids and reading my book.
Have a joyous Christmas Day!
