    QUICK COOKING  May/June 2004

  • AAAh....a day of antibiotics makes a difference that is for sure!!!   I slept well last night.  Tommy actually was able to sleep in his own bed for the night.    It is nice when he will do that occassionally.    Today I have a few commitments, but won't be going to them all since I am not feeling that great yet!

Today we will go to the library and target for a birthday present.   In the afternoon we are going to our neighbor Noah's birthday party.  I have balanced my checkbook and I have enough money for groceries and a gift!!  Paul gets paid on Tuesday!  I hate that we don't get paid at the same time.   Oh well.....

Time to hit the shower and get ready to run errands!!   Have a great day!!

  • Home from my Dr's appointment with antibiotic (augmentin) and a refill on my pulmacort.   I hope to take it easy tonight and will feel better tomorrow!!  I need to get groceries at some point very soon!!  I still need to figure out what to feed anyone tonight...ARGH!!!  I can't wait until hubby comes home so I can go to bed and read the rest of the night.

  • Home for psychologist Appnt...

I am home from the psychologist appointment. I am glad i went as I don't think
I would have belived my hubby. lOL!! They are suggesting a diagnosis of
Asperger's Syndrome for my stepson. Now considering I have an nephew with this,
and a brother in law and I am a DD social worker with a caseload of kids with
autism and aspergers, I jsut don't see it!!

We will be having some more testing done of Erik this summer. I hhate to do it
to him, but we have to rule out things. The first one is a neurologist to rule
out organic brain damage, then probably back to Fraser who specializes in
autism. He has been seen there for a neuropsych there already.

Should be an interesting summer! He has a psychologist appointment every two
weeks and now I will have to fit in a neurologist appoint. I am glad we
hopefully will be figuring out what Erik's difficulty really is......

I am off to a Dr appointment for a possible sinus infection....then home
finally! I want to just curl up on the couch then and sleep, but I doubt that
    will happen.

  • Home sick today.....

  • I stayed home from work to complete some things around the house today.  I am determined to have my basement straightened up by the end of the week.   I got about 3/4 of it done.  All I have left is to do the toy area!   That is a huge pile!!!

I don't plan on doing much else tonight, just relaxing!   My back is killing me!!!!  OUCH!!  I don't think I can do my appointments in the morning, it really isn't working well!  I think I will have to go back to after work again!  ARGH!!!   Otherwise I am in pain and have headaches all day instead of jsut all evening!

Time to scott!  Chat at you later!!

  • I got home from work very late tonight.  I left my office at 4:30 and didn't make it to daycare until 6:00.  Argh...the traffic was terrible!!  I hope it isn't like that all week, otherwise I will have to flex my hours to make it to daycare in time.

I made Onion Soup for supper, which was very good.   We all did our weekly cleaning.  My hubby is so great!  The minute he comes home he goes straight to doing his task of the week.  He had the bathrooms this week.   Josh Vacuumed and swept.  I had bedding/trash and mopping!  The house is clean for the week again!!   Which is nice since I am talking tomorrow off!    I need to spend some time getting things done in the basement before Erik moves in.   So the plan for tomorrow is to get up and go to the chiropractor and then clean, clean and laundry!!

Well I am going to switch laundry around and head to bed!  Later!

  • I am recovering from a very busy weekend. We had my in-laws anniversary party on Sunday and I had church and church meetings in the morning. I was very busy. After the party everyone came to our hosue to visit. LOL! This was unplanned so the house was only sort
of clean, but good enough that I wasn't freaked out!
