Month: January 2005

  • Very unplanned day at home today.  Tommy woke up saying his tummy hurt this morning.  Well he didn't seem hot or anything, just a bit whiny.  I tried to get him to eat some toast but he wouldn't.   So I took him to daycare a little late.  All was going fine until we pulled into Auntie's drive way.  He threw up all over himself!    Well I guess we are staying home!  We headed back home and have been curled up in bed watching movies.   I do have an important homevisit I have to go to tonight.  It is a court ordered one and I have to go, so hopefully hubby will come straight home after work.   I tried to call him but he has his cell phone turned off.  ARGH!!!

It is now nap time, so I am going to put Tommy down for his nap and return all the messages on my voicemail at work.  Have a great day!

  • We all went to bed early last night.  WHew we were tired.  Tommy even was asleep early...in our bed of course.   I am going to try to get him to sleep in his bed tonight from the start, we will see how that goes.   I know it will be hard....he is so attached to me.  Last night I put him into his bed at about 10:30 and he woke up later and came back into our bed.  Then I woke at about 2:00 and put him in his bed again.  He stayed there the rest of the night.   He jsut wakes me up so much.

I did get a few chapters of my book read last night.  I need to have it done by THursday night for book group, not sure that will happen or not.   It is an ok book, but not my favorite!   We are reading the Shipping News by Annie Proulx.  Even if I don't finish the book I will go to the group meeting.  I really enjoy them!!  It is a great group of ladies.

  • I am wondering how I am going to make it through the day without my daily nap????  Gotta love vacations, but sucks when they are over!   ARGH!!!

  • Lunch Time...............................

Back at work and tied to a pager and phone again!  Actually my voicemail says I won't return to work until tomorrow, which gives to today to weed through my mail, voice mail and email before everyone is wanting something from me!  It is a bit hard to get back into the swing of things today.   This place is a dieters worse nightmare, but not one piece of candy has passed through my lips yet today!  We will see if I can say that by the end of the day.

The nice part is it was my birthday while I was on vacation so I came back to work to birthday cards on my desk!  That is a nice welcome!   One friend gave me a gift cert to Barnes and Noble...she is too nice!!  Hmmm..I wonder what book I will buy with that!  I have to remember to write her a thank-you card!  Another friend gave me a candle.

I best finish my lunch and attack my To Do List here at work.  Have a great rest of your day

I jsut found out I didn't miss my book group while on vacation so I will have to try and make it to it this week.  I still don't have the book done!  We are reading the Shipping News and it just isn't really grabbing me!

  • First day back to work....ARGH.....I am not looking forward to this at all.   I best get going and get Tommy up and ready.  Have a great day!

  • Busy day......rushing to make it to church.   Then we rushed home had a quick lunch and headed off to see Sesame Street Live - Elmo's Coloring Book!    Tommy loved it!  He was so very excited and sat very nice through the whole show.  We came home and watched the last of our rented movies, Manchurin Canidate.

Now I am off to play train with Tommy!  Later!

  • Oh yeah....I finally an off Predisone!!  I took my last dose on Friday.  So far my breathing is ok without it.  I do use inhaled steriods as well.   So this now means I have to get working on losing the weight that I gained as a side effect of being on the steriods for so long (3-months).   I love that WisconsinMomof2 posts what she eats each day. I am going through that and making my menus for the week.  I will not be making a seaparate supper for myself, but will add a salad and eat less of the entry!   But I need to plan my breakfast, snacks and lunch.

  • Last night was a bust!  We took our 4 wheel drive truck and went to the play to find out it was cancelled due to weather.   ARGH....so we will have to try and get our tickets rescheduled.   We rented three movies instead.  We haven't rented movies in a few months so there are alot of movies he have not seen.   It is done snowing today, so we are heading to the library.  That is the only errand we have today to do.   Other than that we will be staying at home and staying warm.

Off to shower and get ready to go to the library.  Have a great day!

  • Groceries are away so I am going to go work on one of my fleece blankets.  I still have two more to make.  ARGH!!   I am going to try and get one done while I watch Dr. Phil and Oprah for the last time!!   I started watching them while on vacation!!   LOL!  I rarely watch TV so I had never seen much of Dr. Phil in my life.   I saw him once on Oprah years ago.   Later!

Tonight Hubby and I are going out.  We are going to a play at the Lakeshore Players a local play house.   Should be fun!  Sunday we are off to see Sesame Street Live!
